Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday November 15th, 2019

Escrow.com

Lets play a little game. You tell me a name you think is awesome and I’m going to make fun of it and tell you why its a bad name. The roast me of domain names. It should be pretty easy based on the names that are submitted every time a domain site or twitter account asks for names that readers would sell based on a range. I could make it easy and give you a range of names I’m looking for but I’m pretty sure they will all be shitty names and easy to roast.

What made me think of this was Sedo is holding an iGaming auction and are looking for submissions. But there was a problem. They don’t want eGaming names. They want gaming as in gambling names. So everyone that submitted game related names were told they aren’t the kind of names their are looking for. They didn’t tell the owners why other than they weren’t the type of name they’re looking for but its pretty easy to see once you look at the names they took. But here is where the bad names come in. A few readers said “Yeah, but they rejected my gambling names too” and followed with some not so good gambling names. Names that no way would make an auction a good auction with their inclusion. Again reminding me that most domain investors just don’t know what a good name looks like.

So give me your name and I’ll lay in to it. May not be instant because I have a few meetings today but I promise I’ll make sure you wish you never would have bought it or in most cases hand registered it

    1. You’re doing it wardsback. I see what you were thinking. Mobile betting. Tapping to make a bet but that would be TapBet. The way you’ve laid it out is most likely geared toward gambling on the sport of competitive Tap Dancing which hasn’t caught on on the states yet. Definite hold because I think some time in the next 25 years that name will have value

    2. Bar- don’t feel bad- they rejected my WagerTap dot com as well! Only 34 of 89 currently in the auction are dot com too.

      Shane- Love that FinRev!

      Cheers,
      Mike

    1. Dave,

There is nothing pure about gambling. It’s straight up sin and a wonderful sin. Your game name is boring and virginy sounding. I think you were fooled like many into the whole iGame thing and submitted a game name

  1. How about roasting the rejected odds.im?

(I totally get that .im is a crappy extension, but the Isle of Mann is a gambling haven and there have been some decent sales of .im by Sedo just this year.)

    1. Chris,

You can take the most beautiful house in the world and then set in the middle of Detroit in the worst neighborhood and that would be your domain. IM stands for I Missed and that’s what you did when you accepted this domain from an enemy

      1. Thanks. That is entertaining and hits close to home since I’m from Michigan originally and lived in the Detroit Suburbs for a time. At least it was a cheap hand reg. :/
