Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday October 18th, 2019

Afternic continues to be my best sales tool after direct sales. Its huge to be part of the Godaddy network and have consumers see your product as they hunt for a name. It’s like mixing in your own product in with Amazon’s. Millions of eyeballs for free. Or 15%. The great part of it is a lot of people actually think they’re buying it from Godaddy. They have no idea its a 3rd party name. They pay for it and it ends up in their account. For names that are $500 to $3500 its performs incredibly well. At least for me. Above that price and it’s a bit more of a decision for a buyer.

I also like the fact that if you get an offer you get a broker to take the name and deal with the client. It was going to be the same commission whether its BIN or negotiated. I had an offer for $3500 on a name I bought for $20 about 7 years ago. I said I would take $4500 but the broker said “I’ll use that as a floor and work for more”. Which is what I should have done in the first place but I was being lazy. It’s nice to have someone trying to help me get as much as I can out of it.

But as Christi Marin so nicely pointed out. You have to make sure that your Afternic matches the prices that you have everywhere else and vice versa. But Josh has also proven that they will often buy at a place that its listed much higher even if its listed at a cheaper place somewhere else. So, in short, just make sure to have it listed everywhere you can if you are looking to sell a name under $5K

Namejet, Sedo, Snap, and other Names Up for Auction Some big events happen in Las Vegas. Not all of them planned Testoterone direct is how I see this one playing out. 1995 birthday Weather proof clothing or sweatshirt with clouds on it Not sure it will be a business name but certainly a marketing name of someone that provides the service Tiny homes or just apartments in New York and Singapore S R Doctor. Just don’t know what SR is …..yet Had essentially no reserve since it was so low. And just like they planned, it has the most bids. Risky move but could pay off This is the other one that hit reserve right away because it was so low. Not as strong as the above name but certainly a good deal under $7K this is my favorite but it has a strong reserve to get to 5L with one bid at $79 and closing tomorrow morning. 17 years old Also 17 years old but no bids One more Sedo expiry with no bids Never heard of berry soup but I think it makes a great brand
