Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday August 26th, 2019

Escrow.com

It was nice to see my idea of posting your top names catch on. Of course it caught on because a real domain website DNW.com asked people to list their top names. I honestly wrote it to troll Theo at DomainGang because he writes some pretty antagonistic posts in the form of parody but has yet to produce a list of his top names. I figure he could give us his 20 best names and end my pursuit but its never happened. I am positive it won’t happen. I just feel if you are going to say anything other than report news you have to have some success in either selling names or buying them. Buying them is relatively easy because it takes money. Of course you can spend quite a bit on names that aren’t as good as the price you paid but its still easier than selling them. And selling a few over the years big or small doesn’t do much either. I’m no stud at selling names myself. No big sales. Mostly singles and doubles that are just enough to keep buying more names. Repeat that process over 10 years and it adds up. I’ve been posting my names the last few days to show what I’ve been buying and will continue to show more. I am going to list my LLLL.coms this week.

As expected, many of the top names listed by domain investors were not very good. Names that really don’t have much value and if truly the best in the portfolio doesn’t lend itself to a profitable domain investing career. But we all have to start somewhere and my portfolio list would have been pretty rough the first few years. Generally LLLLL.com and a NNNN.coms and then a ton of terrible .net and worthless dot coms. It took a while to get it right. And while I was getting it right I missed parking and an opportunity to get names at a big discount. I just couldn’t figure it out and I didn’t have the patience to buy one great name because it was so boring to have 20 names. I was throwing darts instead of tucking names away. Its why I congratulate anyone that has the confidence to post their names. I just hope many understand that their top names have to get better if they want to build their portfolio from internal money. If they keep filling it with bad names they will have to continue to buy names from outside sources and while fine in the beginning, it is good way to lose money.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
