Some of the prices lately at auctions have been amazing. HangTime.com going for $13,000 and CNOT.com going past $3K. I really wanted to buy CNOT as I already own CMOT, but with the final price now I think I might be interested in selling it. Either way its a great comp for all domains and especially mine. Everyone who owns similar names win when prices keep moving like they are now.
On another note. If you think putting your name under privacy or having a messed up whois isn’t costing you money you aren’t very smart. It’s just one more way for someone to reach you that doesn’t cost you commission. Not everyone wants to go through an Efty or Domain Name Sales page. There are some that feel they are going more direct to the owner with a whois email. You should absolutely want that. All the junk emails that come from having your info public is quickly overcome with a few good sales.
And finally, I think retail sales are going to get hit pretty hard this quarter. For the first time in a long time I don’t have to wait through three lights to get out of our busiest shopping area. At Christmas its 10 lights. Crazy how uncrowded it is. Even with 45,000 students coming back its bearable. Usually when the kids are back you avoid the area like the plague. Now you can still shop and not have to give up a whole day. Of course, my town represents the entire US 🙂 Long Amazon, short retail for 3rd quarter only. Christmas is always different Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

With those new European privacy laws that came in recently it’s now virtually impossible not to have your domains under whois privacy – unfortunately.
