Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday August 27th , 2018

Some of the prices lately at auctions have been amazing. going for $13,000 and going past $3K.   I really wanted to buy CNOT as I already own CMOT, but with the final price now I think I might be interested in selling it. Either way its a great comp for all domains and especially mine.  Everyone who owns similar names win when prices keep moving like they are now.

On another note.  If you think putting your name under privacy or having a messed up whois isn’t costing you money you aren’t very smart.  It’s just one more way for someone to reach you that doesn’t cost you commission.  Not everyone wants to go through an Efty or Domain Name Sales page.  There are some that feel they are going more direct to the owner with a whois email.  You should absolutely want that.   All the junk emails that come from having your info public is quickly overcome with a few good sales.

And finally, I think retail sales are going to get hit pretty hard this quarter.  For the first time in a long time I don’t have to wait through three lights to get out of our busiest shopping area.  At Christmas its 10 lights.  Crazy how uncrowded it is.  Even with 45,000 students coming back its bearable.  Usually when the kids are back you avoid the area like the plague.  Now you can still shop and not have to give up a whole day.   Of course, my town represents the entire US 🙂  Long Amazon,  short retail for 3rd quarter only.   Christmas is always different   Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

Quote of the Day:  “The best views come after the hardest climb.” -random Church sign

Domain of the Day:        Don’t let the price fool you.  It’s going to double or triple towards the end

Namejet and Sedo Names  It’s all about shipping right now with so much being purchased online and lack of truck drivers  This one has no bids.  Could be yours for $69  It’s back but the reserve hasn’t changed.  Not completely out of range though  Met the meatless reserve at $100  High number of bids on the Namejet board today   Met reserve at $370  1996 birthday with 5 bidders  Sounds like they are going to get something done quickly

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids  Putting X at the beginning or end used to be a way to save money on a domain.  Now it makes it more desirable  A bit too generic for me but at four figure bidding  Bio anything seems to be a good add lately  Chinese name getting some good bid love   I feel coding will be in the curriculum  Fits right into the fast but healthy food options starting to pop up   Based on recent sales this one will go over $1500   I love the category.  Just going to be tough to beat places like Amazon.  But sell it to someone who thinks they can  Nice CPC and babyboomers are using it more   Good app name  Godaddy has this valued at $9,000

Godaddy Domains With No Bids  People do build them.  Has two bids, probably from 2 of the 3 little pigs. Brick pig knows better  Sounds like a book or TV show  Exudes a fun canna store. No bids  Nice, easy to spell words.  Good brand for $12 IMO  5L with one bidder  Can’t believe there are no bidders on this one.  Good lifestyle brand  Would have been better when there was lots of greyhound racing  What Trump paid out  Lots of cities have these.  Like a restaurant district on wheels

  1. With those new European privacy laws that came in recently it’s now virtually impossible not to have your domains under whois privacy – unfortunately.
