Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday February 17th, 2020

Escrow.com

One of the things I am very fortunate to have is my 3 of my Grandparents alive. I went on Saturday to go see my Grandmother who is 92 in California and have dinner. I am taking my Mother to Hawaii in a late 70th birthday present and figured I could see the family as I picked up my Mom. I don’t take any of the moments for granted and its been amazing to talk to all my Grandparents over the last few years about their early lives.

My Grandmother told me all about her time as a USO dancer during WWII. She flew all over entertaining the troops and was stationed in Hawaii for a while. That’s how the conversation got started. I told hew where we were headed and that led to her time there in 1945. She said she had a group of women dancers. A comedian. A Song and Dance couple. And some musicians that did shows each night for the troops that passed through. Meanwhile my Grandfather was stationed in the Philippines setting up communication lines through the jungle. She went on to tell of the rough life he had but left out the terrible details that my Mom would fill in later.

My grandparents represented the side you saw on TV with the dancing and troops having a good time and the horrific side that was happening around the world at the time. And to have the ability to listen to these stories directly from the source is something will only be around a few more years. Its my job as a story teller to listen to these and share them with my family. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with my Great Grandmother while I was in High School and hear about her childhood in the teens. Not her teens but in 1900s teens.

This is why I am going on a trip with just me and my Mom. To hear more great stories and to make more so that I can tell my daughter and she can tell hers. While the stories of great domain sales and money made are fun. It’s not the stories that are important. The merely are the means used to open up the opportunities to make more great stories

Domain of the Day: SecretAdmirer.com This thing hits five figures. Everyone is a little attracted to people that are attracted to them

Quote of the Day: You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing things with magic. True power is restraint. If words control you that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass.” ― Warren Buffett
