I’d like to talk about domain investing but I would be lying if my day isn’t consumed with talk about sickness. Every time I turn on the TV or go on the net its what is being talked about. Throw in the fact that our town has just regular flu being passed around pretty well.
We had a person get the flu about three weeks ago and despite a higher than usual amount of wiping down, spraying lysol, and general cleaning, its still been passed around pretty good. As I see people getting it all I can think about is a disease coming in that is 10 times more contagious. My first inclinations were “oh its the same as the flu” which isn’t exactly true but I do feel that when all cases are known Corona won’t be a 2% mortality but compared to the .1% of flu it could be 10 times higher. Again, I was thinking “its a disease that the weak” . I just watched my brother go from completely healthy to almost needing Oxygen after one week of having flu and not being able to stop it from turning into pnuemonia.
So I don’t want to be that guy that is paranoid. I’m not there yet. But I would be lying if I didn’t say if it wasn’t a bigger part of my day than I’d like. Too much coughing and hacking around me during flu season to not be reminded constantly. I hope to talk more domains soon but I write what’s at the top of my mind and this weekend it was definitely thoughts about health. Pretty sure that will be the case for many this week again. Of course a few great domain sales would take our minds off it wouldn’t it?
