A few months ago I did an interview with Andrew Alleman about commission dropping off the first week after COVID starting taking hold in the US. That’s done. We’ve seen more purchases and commissions in the last few weeks than we saw at pretty much any time last year. And it’s not just domains. The retail that is open is seeing record breaking sales. I think we are seeing a HUGE shift to the Internet and an even larger amount of newly found disposable income.
In a nutshell, those with money have nothing to spend it on. They aren’t traveling, they aren’t eating out. Business owners got PPP and consumers got $1200. The unemployed get $600 a week more than they normally make. And they’re spending it. Millions are spending. Sure there is suffering and huge drops for many companies. But those that that are getting the business are crushing it. And its online sales and home improvement related industries that are doing the best.
Andrew Rosener announced on twitter than he sees a reversal in domain sales with a huge week in sales this past week. I had a great April myself. It pales in comparison but its all relative. What I am saying is I think this may be the best or last opportunity to get things at normal prices. The world is figuring out that the Internet is a financial gateway and our domains are the doors. COVID forced companies to move more online and consumers love it. Those that were there to welcome them now have cash to move up the domain ladder. And I think we’ll see a big surge the rest of the year. Those that have the good names always were going to win. The game may have been delayed a bit but its back on

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Glad to hear things are looking better. My sales haven’t picked up, but hopefully they will.
I think we will see things ebb and flow in this market and other markets for awhile Shane.
Glad to hear revenue is back up though.
Losing track of ‘days’ Shane?
Yup. Have a Happy Saturday 🙂
