I’ll spare you the details so I’ll summarize the weekend. Headed to NY to drop off the kid for college. You know the day will come when that little child that you fed, taught to ride a bike, held her hand as she cried, and watched grow , will leave. They’ll come back but not as the child the were. They will officially be adults, having learned to do things without you. Its what you always wanted but still the day you dread. I tear up a little as I write it but its just selfish tears. It’s realize its going to be exciting but change is difficult. She’s healthy and happy so there is nothing to be sad about but some how the tears still come. The next chapter is going to be exciting. She just won’t come home each night to talk about it. It will be on the phone, watching her Instagram, and watching her run on TV (The ACC channels shows Track and Field). Now I’m and empty nester and looking forward to putting a little more time into my nursery and domain investing. And of course my wife.
