A few people have asked me how many names I have. After clearing out my junk this past year I am at roughly 450 names. I still have 30 or so names that don’t have much value but are personal or horticulture related, but for the most part it is made up of names I think I can sell. I would also say that 90% of them would sell at Namejet.
I’ve often thought about what my Namejet liquidation value is. Not that I would sell the whole thing via Namejet, only thinking what would each name sell for at auction. The positive is most of them would sell. A few would go for five figures. It wouldn’t be anywhere near what I can get out of them selling privately or through somewhere like Afternic, but to me, its a good way to measure value. I figure if I can sell it via Namejet then its worth owning. After that its just a matter of getting it at the right price and then waiting until you can sell it for more than auction house liquidation. Not saying there isn’t a business model in flipping at auction. I know a few people that have this business model and have done well.
And finally Roll Tide. Great game against Georgia yesterday and the irony of Hurts coming in was fantastic. Looks like we get to play for the National Championship and I really really hope that they get to play Notre Dame. I don’t really root against teams but there is one team I’ve never rooted for and that is Notre Dame. Looking forward to showing them what real football looks like. Hope you have a great Sunday. EventFence.com Doesn’t make sense to people but in advertising its a popular way to target mobile customers. You show ads only to people at an event. Set an event fence. You can then cookie them and target them for 30 days. For instance. If they are at a Luke Bryant concert and you sell flannel shirts you can show all the concert attendees ads for 30 days with an event fence. But, not sure if domain has value. No bids

Yeah Shane I have had that line of thinking of the Namejet liquidation value. I figure that is getting pennies on the dollar – maybe 5 or 10 cents at best on the X,XXX value names. For instance, a sweet little pronounceable 5L might fetch a couple hundred at Namejet, and will sell all day long at $2500 with an Efty landing page – love Efty plug! Personally, I throw away names there to prime the pump if things slow down. Luckily 2018 is going great for anyone with good names.
