Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday August 13th, 2020

If you want to get down to it we can can find huge faults and issues with every single domain company. Namejet and Godaddy both have major issues that would be a 10 page article. DropCatch/Huge Domains uses your money from the drops to bid against you at Godaddy to refill the portfolio. Literally beating you with your own money. But we need Namejet,Godaddy, and DropCatch to give us a ready supply of domains to fill our portfolio. With public Whois disappearing its becoming more and more difficult to find and buy domains from people that aren’t actively looking to sell. Expiring auctions bring those to the surface. That being said the companies like Namejet and Godaddy that were built many years ago are sitting on platforms that are less than ideal. But good enough to get the names we want. Just a little to a lot of frustration along the way.

Dan.com is like the South Korea of domain investing. I say South Korea because if you look at their technology infrastructure its superior to most of the world because its new. The US is being built on leftovers from WWII. Dan.com is similar to South Korea. Built recently so it can be built with modern, flexible coding. Made for today’s needs and wants. Sounds like a paid ad for Dan but really its just the advantages of coming in late. You get to see the problems of others and improve them with fresh coding.

But Dan helps me sell domains not buy them. Namejet, Godaddy, and DropCatch help me buy them. Buying domains is easy. Buying good domains is not. There are millions of bad domains that drop/expire for every 100 worth owning. So while I do publicly admit my frustration, overall I am very thankful they are there. I need them there, good code or bad. Of course I’m hoping they change their code to good at some point

Quote of the Day: Beggars do not envy millionaires, though of course they will envy other beggars who are more successful.” -Bertrand Russell

Domain of the Day: GrassFarmer.com Weed or Sod. You’d be surprised how big the sod business is

Park.io Names at Auction or Available for Pickup

Wise.io Price hasn’t moved in days but the close is today. Will it hit five figures?

Namejet and Sedo & More Domains at Action

PRPhoto.com 21 years old and taken in 19 extensions. Press Release, Public Relations. Get two for one

MegaSuperUltra.com Not much value but boy do you get a lot of buzzwords here . Trump would love this

FHOS.com Worth the reserve in my opinion. Taken in 30 extensions which puts it in top tier and O in the 3rd spot is good for “of”

Birdo.com This was my first pattern I used when I started domain investing. I would add an o to every major noun. They were pretty cheap. Sello was my first big sale. It went on to sell for much more

Bobby.me Bobby can get an email real cheap

HobbyTimes.com The hobby industry is skyrocketing. My wife is in this field and can verify.

Godaddy Domains With Bids

HJQP.com Top number of bids on the GD list today. No backlinks and the price is still really high. I never know why one Chinese name is doing well vs. the others. Its why I stay away. But I’m still attracted to bids and high prices.

Treia.org One more before we get to the names that are valued for their name. These 5K backlinks must be very very good

Loonies.com In the States this is a crazy people, in Canada this is what they call dollars

Postma.com 24 years old and a whopping 45 extensions taken. That’s a lot for a last name

TrashPandas.com The fun name for raccoons

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
