Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday November 7th, 2019

Escrow.com

I’ve been really hard on NamesCon over the last few months and I am not going to mention it after this to keep from beating a dead horse. I know the organizers are working hard to create a good conference and I’m sure when it all comes out it will be good. But that doesn’t change the fact that compared to the other conferences that I attend, namely horticulture, our conference is not as well organized. 4 months out our hort conferences have speakers and seminars booked and published. When you purchase a ticket you have an agenda for which you are buying your ticket. You know what you are buying. And you get what you pay for.

After being critical earlier, Namescon did reach out to me and say they wanted to work together and offered me a free ticket. I haven’t responded which as I type this I realize is rude. But my initial thought was the only reason I was even reached out to was to stop me from being critical. I believe I am the only blogger that isn’t taking the free ticket (I don’t know this for a fact) but I can’t take one because I feel like this would not let me be objective and is not fair to NamesCon to take their money and then not be helpful. I’m a good shill but wouldn’t feel comfortable being one here.

Yet I am being helpful. I still tweet that tickets are on sale. That domain investors still need to go to meet with other domain investors. I just throw in that we are basically being taken for granted with the focus being on tech and other industries being targeted. That has always been the case. But you bring them in by providing the a REASON to come. Have someone talk that would inform and add to their experience. Bridge the gap between the owners of the domains and those that use them. There is so much opportunity without alienation.

So go. Go to Austin. Spend the $2500 it will take to get there from the US. You will have a great time and earn the money back one way or another. If we all show up the conference is bonus. Again, NamesCon is an asset to our industry. Richard Lau built something special. He kept the cost of the show down by pulling in friends to do talks and kept things on the cheap. That can only go so long, things have to move forward. I am being vocal to keep the pressure on so it does.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
