I gave a fireside chat at NamesCon with Bill Sweetman and thought it went pretty well. It’s pretty easy for me to talk about the journey because I did a pretty good job of documenting it. I can remember how excited I was when I made $50 and the excitement of my first $1000 sale. All the way up to the first $100K sale. I can tell the story because its all clear as day in my head and most likely on a blog somewhere. It’s not been a quick journey. It’s taken over a decade with EVERY SINGLE NIGHT being used to learn and get better. It wasn’t a straight path. I had people be complete asses to me along the way and even to this present day. I give them grace but I remember who they are. Not to get back at them but to remind me that the better you do, the more people like to knock you down thinking it will make them higher.
We had the Domain Investing fantasy football draft last night. Some great people in the league and fun to talk about something other than domains for a second. My first pick was Lamar Jackson. I normally don’t take QBs first round but I had the last pick of the round at 12 and I figured I would get the most exciting player in football so I could watch him every week. We’ll see how it goes. It has to be better than last year’s last place finish. And because the draft last night the list is a little short
.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Shane, it was an absolute pleasure speaking with you. I wish we could have had an hour to talk and not 30 minutes because there was so much more we could discuss, and I had a ton more questions for you. Perhaps we’ll get to do a sequel at an in-person NamesCon in the future. Thanks so much for participating and being a gracious guest.
Thank you Bill. You’re the reason it went well. A good host makes a good guest
