In case you missed it there were a few DSAD things going on yesterday. Mike had a great interview with the owner of DataRecovery.com. Mike always does a good interview but there was some great info in yesterday’s piece. There was also a new Domain Sherpa with Tess, Kate Buckley, Braden Pollock and I. Other than my tired looking eyes I think the fun we were having came across. And there was some solid info coming from Kate and Braden.
Switching gears. I recently have been getting to know Instagram because it seems like a really good sources of advertising for my nursery. It’s a different beast than the other social media platforms and what is posted, how its posted, and how people interact is unique to the platform. Visual businesses like my nursery should perform well there. I also see a huge value in owning a good handle. I still don’t think its as valuable as a twitter handle, but there are 50-100 handles that are worth five figures. You can see the value because they aren’t being used and still have thousands of followers despite no posts. It’s against TOS to sell handles but I like to buy the company that owns the handles. It comes with the purchase. When I say I like to buy, I will say I have only purchased a few to match my domains. Finding the owners has been incredibly difficult but people have their ways. One protip when finding a name that’s not being used is to see who they followed. Usually the owner used the name to follow their other account and often times that is still active. If anyone has any other tips email me privately. I can use all the help I can get. Here are today’s names. Make sure to click on the names to see the current price and to help DSAD keep on keeping on.

Since you mentioned owning the handles with the domains I figured I’d share this tool as it’s one I use regularly when checking if the matching handles are available for specific domains: https://namechk.com/
Thanks Tom.
Nice resource Tom. Many thanks.
Nice reminder Shane. The Social Media handles can be critical for some businesses and need to be considered very carefully – whether selling or buying the Domain Name.
