Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday March 27th, 2019

In case you missed it there were a few DSAD things going on yesterday.  Mike had a great interview with the owner of  Mike always does a good interview but there was some great info in yesterday’s piece.   There was also a new Domain Sherpa with Tess, Kate Buckley, Braden Pollock and I.  Other than my tired looking eyes I think the fun we were having came across. And there was some solid info coming from Kate and Braden.

Switching gears.  I recently have been getting to know Instagram because it seems like a really good sources of advertising for my nursery.  It’s a different beast than the other social media platforms and what is posted, how its posted, and how people interact is unique to the platform.  Visual businesses like my nursery should perform well there.  I also see a huge value in owning a good handle. I still don’t think its as valuable as a twitter handle, but there are 50-100 handles that are worth five figures. You can see the value because they aren’t being used and still have thousands of followers despite no posts.  It’s against TOS to sell handles but I like to buy the company that owns the handles.  It comes with the purchase.  When I say I like to buy, I will say I have only purchased a few to match my domains.  Finding the owners has been incredibly difficult but people have their ways.  One protip when finding a name that’s not being used is to see who they followed.  Usually the owner used the name to follow their other account and often times that is still active.  If anyone has any other tips email me privately.  I can use all the help I can get.  Here are today’s names. Make sure to click on the names to see the current price and to help DSAD keep on keeping on.

Quote of the Day:  “Appreciate what you have before it becomes what you had.” – Anonymous

Domain of the Day:   A whole brand could be built on this name.  A bit generic but great for marketing

Namejet, Sedo, and other Names Up for Auction   Met reserve. Will sell today.  19 year old mortgage brand   15 years old and also met reserve.  R for Real Estate  19 years old and under $50 at press time.  Logos, websites, pretty much anything in graphic design  Fortnite pales in comparison to the amount of people that used to play solitaire on their computer in the 80s. And millions still do.  Met reserve and will sell  It’s all about being renewable and sustainable. No bids  1999 birthday .   Upgrade name for several clubs   Does this have any value.  See if anyone thinks it does  1997 name.  Long lasting Pad or phone case   Good blog name or site with cute kids and animals. Not tons of value but easy brand   The Beddr bed  Met reserve. Someone is going to get to own a sock store   Met reserve at $69  Not sure where the term comes from but there are movies and plants named this so it comes from somewhere besides the movie……..I think

Godaddy Domains With Multiple Bids   Consonants and ends in C.  Would have been 2K a few years ago.  Might hit $1K in today’s market  Pretty sure most games are software games but 28 bidders think that its a nice name  Geo divorce, DUI, and realty seem to still get it done   Perfect is a big word, which makes it a great brand   I would just call it “Smart” and then use this domain since you’re not going to buy  A monthly box of goodies from the Smart Dispensary  A drug, a band, and almost a singer but that’s Santana   Can only be two. and     X makes a good brand.  Ask Elon Musk  A conservatory in Kenya but also a nice  Private airline parking is where I would be with this one  Going to be a travel tips website undoubtedly  A marketing name for someone that does   Sounds mysterious   I sold to Media Options.  I can pick this up to replace it for a bit less  Bidders are liking this 4 year old name.  Its definitely memorable  I have to admit the cheapest flights and deals never come from the sites that say they are cheap in the url  Tough subject to make money on unless you’re giving treatment  “Asphalt” in Spanish

Godaddy Domains With One Or No Bids   Lux is a fancy way of saying light.  Big Light you probably like   The dot org works for me when it comes to protection and security  Two know and easy to spell words.  That’s a good start  Color and anything has a chance to be a good brand  If this isn’t a thing it should be.   Drakar Noir would be my scent  surprised nobody bid on this one.  A lot of angles in gaming with this one  I usually don’t like Pink names because of the association with the Victoria Secret brand or Breast Cancer but I like this one.  Seems different to me  5L with one bid.  Male Gwen  No bids on this marketing name  I’d name my canna gum this.  First flavor.  Canna Banana

  1. Since you mentioned owning the handles with the domains I figured I’d share this tool as it’s one I use regularly when checking if the matching handles are available for specific domains:

  2. Nice reminder Shane. The Social Media handles can be critical for some businesses and need to be considered very carefully – whether selling or buying the Domain Name.
