This weekend I’m going to try and finish up my running season by trying to set my personal best in a half marathon. If I can beat 1 hr 29 minutes (and I should be able to) I will have completed the “Big 4” and set a personal best in 5K (17:55) 10K (38:40) Half Marathon (sub 1 hr :29 min hopefully) and Marathon (3 Hrs 8 min) all in the last 30 days. I only mention it to show others that while age is a factor, you can still do great things when you reach your mid 40s. Even athletically. And don’t believe anyone that tells you that you can’t put full effort into your business and family if you train a lot. You simply have to manage your time. It also helps to love what you are doing all day. And surround yourself with people that you enjoy being around and will drive and support you to be your best.
