DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Tuesday, June 30th, 2015

Escrow.com

Ten thousand hours. You’ve heard the saying that you need to do something 10,000 hours to be good at something.  I’m not there yet but I guesstimate that I am half way there in domain investing.  I’ve spent 3 hours a day, 7 days a week, since 2009 with very few days skipped. I’m still learning but I know that if you want to be successful at something you make time.  If you don’t want to do it,  you find excuses.  On another note.  Can’t see how the Greek economy could possible fail.  Their number one export is refined crude oil products.  Problem is they import all the raw crude and little to none comes from home.  Also heard rumors that cars may not run on oil products in the near future.  Looks like they will have to focus on their 2nd biggest source of income.  Fixing broken Apple phone screens.    Here are today’s names

OliveGrove.com  A thing but more importantly, a brand.  18 years old

Plasmo.com  Another great, aged brand.  Also sounds like a person’s name on the Jetsons

CECD.com Great letters. Not to be confused with CCD where Catholics that don’t go to Catholic school have to prove they are Catholic enough to be Catholic.

824.org  I think its worth at least $50.  But I’m not a dot org guy.  I only own two

Frugal.net  Keyword is strong enough to overcome the dot net.  Other bidders agree

Independency.com   Not a word people use a lot but they all would remember it.  Only 3 bids. Timely name for Saturday

EmptyCup.com  I only see it as an app or website name. But more bidders than I figured it would have

24245.com  Despite the 4s, it is very easy to remember and give out.  Under $500 is a good buy IMO

CNMW.com  I have NO idea why this is this high.  Incredible

BFHF.com  11 years old.  13 bids

TheWritten.com Solid name for $12.  No bidders

JS3636.com  I know that JSNNNN with great numbers are now worth $300 plus.  This has great numbers

JS8833.com   Another one here

JS9933.com   I would think the above would do a little better because of the 8s

JS9911.com   And one last domain with this pattern

JS6060.com  Damn it. One more  My favorite but not doing as well as I expected

VERIFIED GODADDY COUPON CODE: $1.99 New Registration Godaddy STATE

Koalas.com  If it were singular you could add a zero.  Still a great name. Especially if you sell Koala meat

BMY.com   Going to have to get bids over $25K to move it would be my guess

0845.com  Haven’t seen a NNNN.com go under $8K in a year.  This is getting no love

OAR.com  I think that most people think they can’t afford it so they just don’t bid. Ridiculously low

Quads.com   Four wheel ATVs.   High bidder will take it home.  High bidders will have to be over $20K

877.net  Best numeric portfolio ever for sale on Flippa.   May not be true but best I can remember

Chastise.com Love this one. I am high bid at press time.

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

T6T.com  Short and memorable.  Will hit a few K  IMO

Illness.com  I thought this would have more bidders.  Everyone has illness and I want names that are subjects that everyone has or spends money on.

Illustrated.com  Last chance to get this beauty.  Draw me like your one of your French girls Jack.

    1. Jeff,

It adds meaning to a number and some seem to have caught on more than others. JS seeming to be the most popular. I asked a Chinese native that works with .top why JSNNNN is popular and he said “It’s like acronyms, and JS can stand for many phrases, like JiangSu(a province) or JiangShe(means construction); And you might be suprise to know that the most popular meaning of it is JavaScript here besides Jiangsu and Jianshe”

      1. I think HG at the start is also one of the most popular (check namebio for past comps).

  1. Shane,

Great post as usual. You got the data and day wrong, though 🙂
