DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday 8/28

Escrow.com

I didn’t get my list out yesterday for a reason that hasn’t happened in years.  Our host server went down (no we don’t share a server with Namejet).  I’ve been with MediaTemple for about 7 years and they have always been fantastic.  I started with them because they use to brag that they could take a “Digg”.  My old site would get on the front page of Digg and Reddit and often go from 5 thousand visitors a day to over 100,000 and they could handle it and would not charge me any extra.  They’ve gotten ever better over the years despite being purchased by Godaddy.  Last night it took them three or four hours to fix it but it was right during my writing time and since I go to bed at 9 pm, I had to miss a daily list.  Yesterday was also my 19th wedding anniversary which I am more proud of than anything else I’ve accomplished.  Nobody I know, including myself, ever thought I could stay married.  I’m a handful.  But if I can pass on few words of advice to help you achieve many years of marriage.   One, the other girls you see are NOT better than what you have, so don’t waste your time, money, and marriage test driving the car. Two, simply showing your wife that you love her every once in a while is the best thing you can do for your marriage but also the best thing you can do for your children.  Three, keep the fights clean and the sex dirty.  Here are today’s names.

CriminalLaw.info   69 million Google results tells you someone is looking for info.   Buy and flip on Flippa

Curtain.info   Probably a low reserve on this one.  People spend thousands on window treatments.  I only know they’re called window treatments because I am one of those people that spent the thousands.  When you spend that much on something it needs a fancy name.

WaterlooIowa.com   Will sell because it’s met reserve.  14 years old.   168K residence.  A steal IMO at under $200 right now

AutomotiveMechanic.com   Getting lots of love and lots of bidders. 14 years old.  Over 700K people in this field (I don’t know that for sure but auction descriptions says it so it must be true)  AutomotiveParts.com sold for $50K and AutomotiveLoans.com  Sold for $18K.  Using those as comps this is cheap

Deli.org   16 years old.  Sandwich or city.  41,000 searches per month.  Under $500 at press time

Robar.com  First name, last name, Spanish word.  This name does it all. 18 years old

MagicWanda.com  No value but I giggled when I saw it.  Grabbing attention is half the battle

21T.com   May cross $1000 if it hasn’t already by the time you read this

SelfMotivator.com  Sometimes motivating yourself is harder than motivating others.  Nobody is motivated to buy this though.  No bidders

LFCE.com  Great letters and a few people agree

Voyt.com  People, places, things on Google

XWWX.com  Somebody is going to buy this merely because it’s cool looking.  Imagine that, buying or dating something because they like the way it looks.

PrivateCaregivers.com  I see TONS of ads for “angels” and other names for assisted living help. This one is worth thousands to someone in this industry

Pause.net  Somebody is going to get this cheap.  How do I know? Because all the dot nets have been going cheap lately

NEW Thursday!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day. 25% off new items added to cart. Great for new gTLDs bb2017a

ThumbsUp.com   Amazing name and I am seriously considering putting a bid.  But it’s not going to be cheap

HowToStopSmoking.com   Pretty sure millions of people searching for this.  Bidding already over $2K but hasn’t met reserve yet

Dubon.com 18 years old.  A last name so people, places, and things

SmokingPipe.com   I expected this thing to have 20-30 bidders.  Waay more than that.  I guess it’s marijuana driven

Avenda.com  I loved the sound of the word as a brand before I saw that a ton of companies already use it.  Upgrade name for quite a few people

TimeCandy.com  Sweet name, sweet brand

WillPlanner.com    I think an online, quick and legal will planner would be very successful

Spleet.com   No bidders.  For $69 I think you could flip this at a profit to someone looking for a name

BackyardBrawls.com   No bidders.  People love watching youtube fights.  Fill a site with them, gets lots of traffic, and flip it

ArlingtonMillion.com  It’s squatting but have to say I went to the Arlington Million a lot when I was a kid at Arlington Racetrack.  They still host the Million each year.  NO bidders

Spunky.com  I don’t think the price is far off the value.  Comes down to whether the owner thinks the same thing with his reserve
