DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday, Feb 5th, 2015

Escrow.com

Not sure if anyone gets this but I am getting things in the mail randomly and for the first couple I was pretty excited that maybe there was some leftover money than they decided to send me a check.  But each time I open it there’s a W2.   Its funny because I get everything direct deposited but yet the way the envelopes are they remind me of a check so I still get that excited feeling of the past.  And I’m still hoping one of them is check.  Here are today’s names

Bodacious.com   Awesome name. 20 years old.  People don’t use it as much as they used to but due for a comeback.

BodyofWater.com  Not a ton of value but a term most English speakers know and 17 years old

GoDeals.com Surprised how high this one has gotten but it is a deal name and people love anything with deal in it.  17 years old

Tindera.com  The Spanish version of Tinder?

SportSack.com  You know what these are and probably have one, you just didn’t know they were called sport sacks

BrainEnergy.com  14 years old.  Probably going to be used for some fake product but we all like to think we can take some magic pill to make us smarter and sharper

TheCoffees.com   No bidders.  Not a bad coffee name for $12.  Save the other $100K for marketing

DirtyRobot.com  Another brand that isn’t gong to cost much.  Remember, just because a name isn’t great doesn’t mean you can’t make a few hundred dollars on it.  59 free visits per month

CTZO.com  Opening bid is $40 and I think it’s probably worth that

CTZM.com  Same here but somebody already hit the bid

4AR.com  Under $500 would be a good buy IMO

Evler.com  A name or something in Turkish.  Already over $1000

33289.com Second most bids on the board

SIGN UP FOR OUR NEW NEWSLETTER (top right of the page) for this list delivered the night before with some fun and games added

SeedAndGarden.com  Getting a GREAT price.   I think I know what I need to build and sell

SafeDataStorage.com I think this one is a fantastic brand.  Being safe is the biggest concern of people that buy data storage

NRNB.com   Great letters and reserve met.  Under $300 is a good buy IMO

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: A 1.99 Cent Dot Com Registration. Used on 1/28/15 ctfxc

SnackGuide.com   No bidders.  I could be a big contributor to this guide. I am a snack pro

SEMN.com  Good letters. 15 years old.  29 bidders.

BlowDryer.com  A good brand that has nothing to do with the product. And Dryer sure is a lucky man

FilmProcessing.com  There are still people that will want to have this done. Finding an old roll in the drawer and wondering what’s on it

Xaru.com   China loves three and four letter names that start with X

Loathe.com  Such a strong word.  Don’t hear it very often but should be used

ShoppingJournal.com Not quite sure how this one got so high so quickly

SurfingSupply.com  Lots of comps with supply in them.  I like this one but I probably would like surf supply better

EconomyAir.com  Sounds like a site that already exists.  And that’s a good thing

  1. Hi Buddy,
I don’t know whether it is stupid idea or not but it will make your BIG LIST post very interesting and popular.
Idea is to allow your reader to post one domain in comment section. These posts can be good source of good domains.
You can delete this comment if you don’t like this idea.
    Thanks,
    Rahul.

    1. Rahul,

Not a stupid I idea but won’t work for three reasons. The comments will turn into complete spam. Two, I agreed with Francois of domaining.com that I would only list names at auction or not for sale. If I have names that are just privately for sale I will buy a banner. Three, if people can list their names for free at the bottom it takes away one of my revenue sources. I pick most of my names but two or three a day are paid for by the person at auction. If its free I lose that. That’s my honest response. And a little sales pictch. I think my $10 a name more than pays for itself as far as getting viewers. Names on my list truly make a name get a better price. It depends on the name but overall I feel comfortable with that statement.

      1. Thanks buddy, I think I should try your paid listing . . . Will contact you through your contact form . .

  2. Rahul very creative idea. 🙂

Shane, I can make the visitors to your nursery more informed. I want to put a vinyl banner on the front of your building promoting my nursery website. If they can’t find what they want at your location, they can visit my online site. Do we have a deal?
