DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Tuesday 8/12

Escrow.com

Part of the deal of this vacation was to leave the cellphone at home all day.  No checking email, no reading blogs, no checking stocks.  All that has to wait until morning or evening.  The day belongs to the family and whatever we’re doing. We rented a cheap cellphone in case of emergency.  After that, we read maps, drive around and see the sites.  Old school.  It has taken me a few days to get used to it.  The hardest part is my options trading.  I had some heavy positions left from Friday and needed to take care of them today.  My wife told me I could either sell them in the morning or sell them later in the afternoon when we got home.  Fortunately for me Tesla was upgraded  and took off and Chipotle started off well.  I sold the Telsa options off in the morning and made $4K but it kept going up right before I left.  I am one of those people that foolishly watch the stock to see what happens after I sell it.  I know it doesn’t do any good but it’s human nature. Before we left for the beach it kept going up and up and I was a little down that I got out too early. I reviewed it at the end of the say and saw it went up quite a bit higher and if I had sold it at the high I could have made $6K but by the time I got home it was exactly where I sold it.  So it wouldn’t have mattered.  And of course it made me feel better but you can’t look back after you sell something and you should never complain about a good profit, even if you left some on the table.  These are my first two options trades in 5 months so I’ve forgotten how much things swing.  I’ve decided no more trades this week so I can relax. I still check my sites and affiliate programs and of course go through the auctions.  That is fun for me, not work.  On a side note, if anyone is interested in advertising with Aaron and I, we have a special on the 300 X 250 to the right (where the lend.me) banner is.  We were saving it for Uniregistry but they never called so it’s time to fill it.  It’s $400 a month if you sign up for three months.  With that you get a back rub from Aaron and the attention of all our readers.  And a side side note.  Kudos to Namejet for always keeping the shelves full with awesome names each and every day.  Here it is August and there are some incredible names coming through their system.  Makes my job easier looking through the lists when there is a lot of quality. They are mostly one big portfolio but I really don’t care where they are from , as long as I get a chance to buy them.  Here are today’s names

Pump.net  18 years old.  A great marketing or fitness name. Short and memorable. Surprised price is so low this late

PureHydrogen.com  No bidders.  16 years old. If you believe Toyota, cars will be all hydrogen in the future and they are betting billions on it.  You can bet $12

Refueling.com  I had to double check to see if this was a misspelling.  Only one bidder.  Much better name than that

Masker.com  Great VPN name.  Short and easy to spell. 15 years old.   Over under $750.  Has a ways to run IMO

BoyonBoy.com  I’m not gay but this would make a perfect site name for those that are

TitledMoon.com  If it sounds like an IPA beer it’s a good domain.  One of my rules.  I’m the only bidder.

CreditHelpers.com  As good as many of the other credit domains I’ve seen go for moreY

VP9.com  Haven’t been as many LLN.coms lately.  It will be interesting to see how high this goes in the August market

11J.com  Same here.  They have been going for $600 or so a few months ago

Yummo.com  Only one bidder.  Short memorable brand that passes the radio test.  Worth over $100 IMO

82660.com  Just following the crowd on this one

24321.com  I like this one a lot better than the above but it’s only $15.  Shows me I have a lot to learn

Pix.info  Short and everyone associates Pix with Pics.  Maybe the fact it is only at $2 right now that it drew my attention.

NEW FRIDAY!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day. 33% off new purchases. Great for new gTLDs CJCRMN33

Internally.com  Getting lots of love.  Not sure exactly what you’d use it for but there are plenty of bidders that think they know

Condolences.org  Good name for memorial or funeral site.  Could probably sell some flowers.  No bidders

Printera.com  17 years old.  No bidders.  While it doesn’t say 3D Printer in the title it’s a pretty solid printer name for $69

PatelFamily.com  While I’m not sure there are really a billion Patels in the world.  It sure feels like it. No bidders

Xiantan.com  A city in China.  Not big now but give it time.  Bidding is fierce.  Ok not fierce but a lot

H78.com  I personally like 78H better but still a nice name

PorTu.com  “For you” in Spanish
