DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Wednesday, August 19th 2015

Aug 19 2015
Aaron and I wish we could go to The Domain Conference but it’s a little busy for us in the fall so we won’t be able to go.  We haven’t put out the list for voting for Show Award because we figured there were enough places to find a ballot.  But you really should vote. We also don’t really have a chance of winning any of them so we didn’t ask anyone to vote for us.  There are much better choices out there.  I realize its an honor to be nominated but I’m not really a participation medal guy.  One day they’ll have best running blog writer and then Aaron and I have a chance. Until then we give our vote to DomainSherpa.  Here is today’s list.  Everyone knows a Tim Johnson.  18 years old  Quite a few companies share this name.  I also think is where they make Swiss Cake Rolls.  mmmm  No bidders. 16 years old.   Solid brand for music for $12  I don’t like it very much but has a few bids so who am I to judge.  Also 15 years old  Save yourself $100K by throwing a Y in the middle  The name of a hosting company or helping people choose one.  14 years old  I think Google Play is the angle here.  Four figures and climbing   I am now a buyer of  You should be too IMO.  But I’m only buying English acronym letters   $750 plus name IMO.  Frank Schilling thinks these are peaking. I don’t agree   Already over $600 and climbing  Only on the Godaddy board.  Just passed the floor price of a non 4 The triple 3 is taking it to triple digits  CC.nets don’t come around very often.

New GODADDY COUPON CODE: None Work, None. Click the link to See that None of them Work Godaddy Click This For No Savings   Below the $750 floor price.  12 years old.  Bad writeup, makes no sense

14 Exact Match Names.    At $1.   Great write up but no bids.   Pretty sure you can get your dollar back on one of these  All comes down to the reserve.  Ends early in the AM  I usually don’t recommend “for” names but if its cheap enough its worth looking at.  But not going to be cheap enough based on the seller’s overinflated thoughts of “offers over $2K will be considered”

Huge Batch of Domains.   Actually quite a few nice ones mixed in  Loved it last time, love it now.  Owner also loves it   Another fine name with an owner that loves it more than you.  No 4s and the double 1 are very nice

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now  17 years old.  Marketing starts local  Less bids than above but pretty sure it will sell for more  Ends today.  Somebody really likes this one   All good letters.  Worldwide   Obvious use is real estate but could be used for domains  I think this could actually cross $1K.  crazy
