I was out to dinner with an economist and the former Chairman of Goldman Sachs and we got to talking about Information Asymmetry. It’s something that all traders and money makers are looking to find. Essentially its when one person has more information than the other. But the real search is to find someone that can give you more information about the the product than the person selling it. It’s hard to achieve because most owners know more about their product because they have it in hand. Goldman Sachs always seek the kind of people that can give them that edge. Because a little edge made them tens of millions of dollars. I seek it in domain investing. Using tools or information that may give me more information about the true value of that name to a particular industry. So far I don’t feel that I have truly gained an advantage but every year I get stronger in certain categories and I do have an advantage over some sellers just due to my knowledge of the overall value of domains. It’s the kind of discussion I love being involved in but I must admit I’m a little nervous speaking up when I’m discussing economics with two men that are some of the brightest men in the world in their fields. It was one of the times I knew it was best to just shut up and listen and ask a few questions. Here are today’s names. Click to see current price.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
“From 2005 to 2007, Goldman Sacks issued and underwrote many mortgages and securities that had been backed by residential loans borrowed by consumers with shoddy credit ratings.”
They had to pay a 5.1 BILLION fine for the crap they pushed.
Was this part of their “edge”?? Ripping people off and almost bankrupting the entire global economy and THEN getting huge handouts FROM TAXPAYERS!!???
Many of those “experienced investors” should have been put in jail and fed gruel. Instead the “government” handed them huge subsidies to pad their losses AND POCKETS. Outrageous. Was this person part of that band of pirates?
It’s like a revolving door from investment banking to government advisors and the “sheeple” keep sucking it up.
Sad times. Arresting people for a joint and letting “bankers” steal hundreds of millions of peoples savings through fraudulent investments????? Real fair system we have here……………….
quantitative easing is another word for “FRAUD”.
Steve,
He was not running the company in those years. This sounds very personal and emotional for you. You should certainly use that and serve the community. Sounds like you would do a great job.
Not personal at all. I am just extremely dissappinted in these huge companies that rip people off selling crap as AAA investments. Most sheeple have no idea they are in with a den of wolves waiting to eat them alive. Goldman sacks packaged countrywide garbage loans as AAA. Sold them to people who lost their entire savings!
Imagine if you took that approach with your plant or domain customers?? Selling dead plants as healthy perrenials only to have them die when the customer gets them home and the fertilizer spike wears off? Or selling a .12digit dot crap as a premium name?
That’s what goldman sucks did. Wells fargo was cconvicted for opening accounts in customers names without their knowledge for 10yrs to pump the books!
Is that The Edge you want?
