DSAD.com: Domain Shane’s List of Domains at Auction for Sunday, Feb 7th

Escrow.com

Tomorrow is the Chinese New Year.  We’ve probably talked about it more than we ever have because of the domain market and sales or lack thereof.  I’ve actually had dinner at a Chinese restaurant on Chinese New Year for decades.  I have a friend that celebrates it and invites me every year.   I only see this person every year but I can to the first dinner 20 years ago and have been invited ever since.  The person that invites me has a very unique voice and every year he calls me the week before and the people at the nursery know exactly why he’s calling.  It’s always a good time and great food.

Of course I have to talk about the Superbowl today.  I am rooting for Peyton to win and then retire. But I think its going to be a blowout by Carolina.  And for the first time in 30 years I don’t think I will have a wager on the game. I have all my gambling bets placed on 6N.coms.  No more need to gamble.  Here are todays names. Click to see current prices.

TUDS.com  18 years old.  I have an entire closet full of studs.  I actually made that up.  There’s nothing in my closet except for a few pairs of blue jeans, 3 blue shirts, a printer and a Santa Suit

UENG.com   A Chinese last name yet not very many bids.  That’s until the Chinese read my blog and find out its Chinese

NYCShopping.com  17 years old.  No bids at $12.  I heard New York City is about to start allowing shopping to be legal there soon

QCAB.com  Getting bids because of it being 4L but the CAB part doesn’t hurt. 16 years old

WereMoving.com  Not a bad name for $12.  No bidders

XUEM.com, IONN.com, UUBY.com , GXVV.com, CKFO.com   DZUE.com, TFEE.com  and EFNK.com  Here’s a nice group of lesser value LLLL.coms that I’ve been adding every day for those that want to buy value and hope everything rises in this category

MDLR.com   There have been hardly any CHiPs for sale all week.

02771.com   I purchased a few 5N.coms like this because I thought there was value compared to some other names.  But it’s not proven until I sell it so don’t buy it based on my opinion

075.info  Looks like its going to cross $100.  Dot info has new life in the numbers.

TDMZ.com   Another CHiP.  Looks like its going to be a good day

LittleDress.com  Not as good as little black dress but this one has no bids at $12. So today, this is better

DIIO.com  Vowels are still not as good but names like this with good Western end user possibilities are finally starting to rise.   There still some value left in vowels right now.  Just can’t throw in bad Western letters

QZ.biz   Two letter dot biz are doing well.  Have turned into investment quality over the last 3 months

1925.co  Yes I missed the numeric dot co market.  But I’ve pointed it out every day.  And yet still seemed to miss it

999608.com  I’ll be interested to see how this one does.  The triple 9s are great and I think zeros are much better than 4s.  Good market measure here.  Like the name a lot

SXD.biz   For the biz people

HLLN.net, CPNX.net, FXKZ.net, KNKT.net, KMYF.net     I usually put together the LLLL.nets each day.  This group is uglier than normal except the HLLN.

RNCT.net  I like this one much better than the above but auction price is much less at press time

CYXX.cc  I get told all the time that dot cc are worthless.  And yet this will go for over $50.  I might have to go look up “worthless”.  Maybe worthless now mean “worth less than $500)

TCMM.org   I have said that LLLL.org isn’t gaining traction, OK I said it was dead.  I realize its not dead but look at the price of these great letters and tell me its thriving.  Or maybe its value.   See what I did there?

SHPP.info  Is there a 4L.info market yet? First one I’ve seen with a bid.

1422214.com and 4533345.com   The prices on these two are crazy.  All because of pattern?  Crazy…….ass…..market

69769.com  If those are worth that much, how much is this going to go for?

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)

DigitalDubai.com  16 years old with 3 bids at $15.  Anyone who owns a Dubai name dreams of some sheik offering them a few hundred grand for their name because money means nothing to sheiks.  Or at least that is what we think in our dreams

P.ET   Hacks are starting to grow on me.   This is as good as it gets.  $100K BIN scares me

SBNM.com  Great Western letters.  This would go for $2700 plus on Namejet

9898.io   Dot io hasn’t taken off in numerics because of its high holding cost aka renewal price.  But if it does then this is as fine of a 4N.io as you’ll find.

45.io  Never seen a two number dot io

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

KeyPoint.com  Just sounds like a company.  That could do anything.  But that’s why it has 100 bidders

HistoricalPrints.com  I own a few.  And I bought them as exactly this.  I was looking for “Great War” stuff.  What they called the Civil War before it had an official name

Investica.com  They kind of name that you pick up for $69 and sell for $2500……..eventually

JSZ.net, CRQ.net   and YSZ.net    Just so you couldn’t say I didn’t put any LLL.nets on the list today

FountainofYouth.net  It’s a dot net but every body is still looking for it.  One bidder

TheBi.com  Some are seeing a 5L.com, I see bisexuals.  Just what I’m seeing, don’t judge

00364.com   If you think all boats will rise then you can buy the “AS IS” 5N.com

282269.com  I’m hoping that 6Ns make a move upward.  I made a sizable investment this past week.  I have been waiting for Chinese New Year all month.  I got the powder ready for the week and boy did I light it.

Parvas.com  Means “silly” in Portuguese.   I think it makes a good brand but I like easy to say and spell words that mean something good in another language.  Unlike Nova for Chevy  which meant “No Go” in Spanish

372556.com  See above

CashPartner.com   Everyone is either looking to make it or to borrow it. 10 bidders

ProfessionalRemodeler.com   It’s long but its an exact service offered.  So its perfect for marketing.  Tells them exactly what you do and is memorable.  That gives it value

MadeFromNature.com  Sound like its going to be bland

  1. When I started domaining I really liked hacks and I hand regged some like courtsi.de, tracksi.de and statewi.de I let them drop a few years after and now they are all regged again, one seems to be in use by a horse racing tracker. Not that they would have sold if I had kept them but I kinda wish I had now…! I’ll just make sure I hold on to my chip llll.ws 🙂

  2. “I get told all the time that dot cc are worthless.” That’s weird… I sold a 5N.cc last week for $5K… huh. I wonder how that happened.

  3. 1422214.com and 4533345.com The prices on these two are crazy. All because of pattern? Crazy…….ass…..market

Maybe I’m stating the obvious but there is something fishy about these two auctions. The opening bid on both of them was $1800.

  4. @Keith

Owning these similar numericals 2344432.com, 4322234.com, 5433345.com, 6788876.com and some more such palindromes myself i do not find these prices too crazy, considering i am getting chinese and indian offers (email + whois always) on these on a constant basis, just not high enough yet to feel like parting with them..

    1. Daniel,

Unfortunately yours a palindrome and not the same. Palindromes do fine but have found that they like balance better. 3688836 is much better than 3688863. We’re all rooting for what we own. I waited and saw what was moving and then purchased. Cost me more but I needed the time to gather data and sales to see where I could get the best ROI

  5. Forgot to mention.. they might have some meaning (like a marketable catchphrase) in cantonese which eludes us..

    1. Steve,

If the names move to my account tomorrow I went from zero to 300ish this past week 🙂 Best probably being 888733 which I paid good money all the way to a few Godaddy closeouts I got a few weeks ago for $12 that slipped by and already worth more. Going to be fun

  6. I am having problems buying 6n chips at the wholesale level of $200. Nobody wants to part with them for that price as of last week. I got my last two just under that a week ago. I like to close deals fast, so avoid GoDaddy. Maybe some deals there.

I was shooting for 100 by Feb 8th, but stalled at 50.

    Now buckled up.

  7. I liked the balance of patterns and thought that a longer patterned domain would beat out a shorter non patterned domain. So I hand regged 888234888.com a few weeks back. I’m sure its worth more than hand reg already.

  8. Andrew,

Too funny. I bought mine as a joke. If I make money at it then it only shows you how crazy this market is

    John,
I thought you were joking but you’re being serious. Only 1000 names just like that, most without the 4. Please don’t let kids see you buying those types of names, its a bad influence.
