Here’s a tip for dealing with Network Solutions and transferring names the hell out of there. Maybe everyone knows this but I’ll present it anyway.
NetSol is probably the most difficult and time consuming registrar to get a domain away from. Not only do you have to click through numerous screens to unlock and request the code, but then you have to wait 3 days until they email it to you. Sometimes the name expires while your waiting and you won’t be able to transfer it.
If you ever have a name at NetSol that has already expired all you have to do is call them and say ” I need a 15 day extension on this name”, they will “special” the name and you’ll be able to transfer it away to the registrar of your choice, preferably one with a system that has been updated within the last decade and not designed to trap you there.
Also still some issues with the Godaddy links, so beware, if the link says that the auction is over it may not be. If you find any links like this add them to the comments section below, or don’t and you may get a better deal.
A few comments on NameJet domain submissions. I, more than anyone I know, can stretch the crap out of a name and find some value or something that I think it can be used for, and everyone has different life experience that helps them recognize something about a name that others may not. With that said you have to understand which names are obvious to everyone and which names are worth a shot if gotten for a decent price. Names that are “worth a shot” will not sell on NameJet. The value has to be readily seen by at least a few other people for someone to pay $69, not to mention some outlandish reserve.
Remember NameJet is a wholesale market place. Domainers are buying and selling names, in general normal people don’t watch or bid on domain auctions. Auctions are for liquidating names that in time have a better than average chance of selling to an end user or have some liquid value. It’s a great model that many domainers use to keep the cash flowing.
So when you’re thinking about liquidating some of your names, keep these things in mind. We certainly will take any name that we think has a chance of selling, if we don’t accept the name it’s because we think it has a very low chance of selling. This is good for everyone, because we won’t waste any time promoting something that isn’t going to sell and you won’t waste time and money transferring the name to ENOM.
I’m running out of steam writing my “what I think the name could be used for” and it’s 05:00.(now 06:00 So just use your imagination.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
