Today’s the last Sherpa of the year until we meet again at NamesCon. Of all the things I do in domaining, writing this list and being on that show are by far the most fun. In both cases I can have a good time, share a little, and learn a lot. Thanks to all that have taken the time to comment and and give some kind words. The comments are the only way we know what to change and what to keep doing. I’d also like to send a big welcome and thank you to Josh, the newest member of the DSAD team. He’s been writing the new Recap each day and doing a heck of a job. Aaron and I were lucky to find Aaron 2 to do it and I can’t believe we found another person that does a great job as well. In fact he may be a better domain investor than I am. Some of the things he’s investing in and doing are killing it. Shane…Love your list and use it daily. BUT…we all know 4L’s are hot and will sell. Almost anyone in the game searches for these daily. It’s a waste of pixels to highlight them on your list, and yet it is the majority of your list many days. How about using all your great experience and expertise for the less obvious buys? Just a thought, keep up the good work.

One thing to remember is I make a living from commissions if someone buys these. It is a balance of finding names that are “hidden gems” and names that are good investments. I promise I don’t skip over names I think you could buy and resell in a decent amount of time. And I waste a ton of pixels on a lot of different things depending on who you ask. I do appreciate the comment and will try and dig deeper but I’m probably going to keep doing what I’ve done for the last 7 years. Putting up names that I think offer value as an investment. It changes month to month, year to year. Sorry to have wasted your time.

Wow, how old are you? I never said you wasted my time. In fact I told you how much I enjoyed and valued your site (and list) by visiting often, usually daily. A simple explanation, like how you get a commission would have been adequate. Honestly, you come off looking very unprofessional, especially when you can’t resist the urge to take another shot in the subsequent post. I had a lot more respect for you when this day started. I simply offered a suggestion, but you obviously weren’t mature enough to take it. My mistake, it wont happen again.

I’m having some fun. If you’ve read my posts over the years you can see I lack maturity. I wouldn’t say I’m unprofessional but I wouldn’t say I was professional either. Again, just having fun with your comments and the term “wasting pixels” was too good to pass up. I use the David Letterman, Kevin Hart technique of comedy. You keep coming back to something until its funny. Or stop when it never is. Hopefully no hard feelings.
