I took an impromptu trip to northwestern Costa Rica and was on the lookout for .com versus .cr domains, but was surprised to stumble across a new gTLD: CostaRicaRealEstate.Estate.
The picture below was taken while biking between the beach towns of Coco and Ocotal, on the Pacific coast.
The sign was on a dirt road in an area where most of the homes are inexpensively built of cinder blocks, and it’s interesting to see a really old school Hotmail email address with a new school domain extension.
The domain itself has a ‘coming soon’ lander live, and they have a link to their current site, which they chose to put on the .eu extension: CostaRicaRealEstate.eu. The .com extension is built out by a competing brokerage firm.
Donuts controls the .Estate extension, which has just under 10,000 domains registered.
why not CostaRicaReal.Estate?
If given the option of using CostaRicaRealEstate.Estate or CostaRicaReal.Estate, I’d also pick the latter.
Have both.
Re-direct CostaRicaRealEstate.Estate to CostaRicaReal.Estate
Just another stupid gtld fail. They all suck and will all fail in 2017.
Kind of long but if they like it I’m happy!
