Domain Spotlight:

I sold two domains in yesterday that I don’t own anymore. I guess I should have said I was notified that someone else’s domains sold. It reminds me of the importance of keeping my accounts up to date, if for no other reason than to not hear about sales on domains you let drop.  It’s not a good feeling to get the ” your domain just sold” email, and then not be able to find it anywhere in your account.

In both cases HugeDomains owns my former domain. If anyone wants proof that volume and huge portfolios can work, you should try and track what they own and sell. The same thing applies if you’re having trouble identifying the type of names that will sell.  They deal in real scientific data, not the chaos and unorganization that I revel in.

  1. Yeah Huge Domains likes my drops too. I was thinking of either just transferring to them directly instead of dropping, or re-thinking my drops. I price them at a few hundred bucks for a year before letting them go, and then Huge Domains gets them and jacks them way up. When they own the .net of something and I own the .com, I like to price my name at the same price, so only a fool would buy their name – but wait……..they do sometimes!!
