Domain Spotlight:

IKE’S LIST OF DOMAINS AT AUCTION FOR Saturday, October 6th

Escrow.com

A few weeks ago we talked about some of the douchey things people do trying to sell their domains, specifically spamming people on Facebook, either posting on their walls or sending messages to buy some random name.

There’s a couple things wrong with this approach, beside the fact that it annoys almost everyone.

It has to be time consuming peddling these domains for wholesale prices, there are so many better ways to spend your time in the domain realm.  If you think the domain is great, why would you do wholesale outbound spamming? Put a price on it or auction it off if you want to flip it.

I bring this up because the person I was referring to, whom I did not mention specifically, decided to post ridiculous comments on DomainSherpa.com.  It’s actually a little funny, but here’s the seemingly random comment that’s not related to the subject.

USAdiplomacy.com AND Diplomacycenter.com .he was rude to me and said it had zero value.

And thats very far from the truth!

Your landing page looks like it was written by a clown.

You should just sell them instead of talking shit, but you won’t.

Think about who your potential buyers are, no business or startup will ever use those domains.

Your best bet is to auction them off, hoping some sucker comes along that’s more gullible than you.

I just put this together, lol. You Are the A-hole I wrote about on DSAD a few weeks ago, the guy that posts shitty domains for sale on someone’s facebook wall. In fact you posted the very domain in question on my wall before I blocked you.

Listen buddy, if your domain was so great you wouldn’t be trying to peddle it by spamming Facebook. Even if by some wild chance you sell the domain to another “investor”, it’s by no means an indication of it’s retail value.

If Drew was “rude” I can only assume that it was justice for your ridiculous antics. Sell the domain first, then come back and tell us how much value it has, better yet, find another hobby.

The bottom line, don’t annoy people trying to sell domains, timing is a huge part of domain investing, you can’t force it. Don’t say crazy things that make you look ridiculous like Mr. Nilsson here.  And finally, try and use punctuation, the right case, and apostrophes as much as possible. DSAD is certainly no resource to learn correct grammar, but it’s usually not a train wreck like the quoted Sherpa comment.
