I was reading an interesting article over at DI about using the Domain Name Sales platform for leads. Frank Schilling responded to the post and to many of the comments. Yet the whole time, all I could think how the recommendations and complaints came from people that pay nothing to be on the platform. Other then parking their domains, the rest of the features are completely free. It doesn’t do this, it should do that, and of course it should be free. They are giving the highest payouts, providing a domain management system that nobody had provided before, and yet people still want more. It would be one thing if the ideas were to help Frank improve the platform but the comments were “this would be better for me”. While I’m sure they feel that an improvement for them would be an improvement for all. They should ALL have done what a few did in the comments and say “Thank You”. My opinion is don’t look a gift horse in the mouth and any “ideas” you have to improve the system should just be sent in to Domain Name Sales. No doubt in my mind that they will take the good ideas and implement them. That’s how the thing was build in the first place. But Franky Schilling is way to nice and professional to say what I just said. He said it in a different manner with this quote in the comments. Henry Ford said that if he were to ask his customers what they wanted they would have replied “A Faster Horse”. Here are today’s names. The lightest list in weeks but really didn’t like most of the names. Looks like I’ll have to write an article to make up for it. If interested, I’m now booking names for Friday’s Book of 10.
