Today is a very conflicting day for me. Memorial day is a day that is so important in the US because it’s the day you remember all the men and women that gave their lives to give us the freedoms that we all have. Often we take for granted the fact that we have unlimited opportunity here in the US. For the most part you can be or do anything you want. Where I am conflicted is I hate war. The mere thought of tens in not hundreds of thousands of men dying trying to capture one beach makes me sick to my stomach. I am thankful and hopeful that technology has made it that we will never have to see this again. Yes there are still problems all over the world that still need to be addressed but today is the day we remember those who gave their lives and their youth to our country. Right or wrong they deserve our respect today
