SHANE’S BIG LIST: Saturday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on February 1st, 2014

Escrow.com

There have been some exciting things going on in the snow plowing business in the Midwest and in the East.  Because of the rough winter there is a big shortage in salt.  Not just short, but out.  From this point on there is virtually no salt to be had and everyone is running out. Some already have and it’s not about price.  There is no price, there’s nothing to sell.  Those that have it need it and aren’t going to sell it because they don’t want to risk running out either.  I LOVE shortages and could see it coming.  I stockpiled it and I am getting two more semis early next week.  I ordered them four weeks ago and they are the last trucks out of the plants I’m told by both suppliers.  I have more than Home Depot, Menards, Lowes and John Deere combined.  But I am not selling it.  We have three storms this week alone coming.  And my customers may be the only people that have clean, safe, and salted parking lots.  That is worth more than reselling.  Of course I may peel off a few pallets for some friends that have helped me over the years.  The Godfather of Salt.   Here are today’s names.

StickyBalls.com   16 years old.  No bidders.  Sounds like a real problem

LunchToGo.com  16 years old.  Jimmy Johns has built a whole empire on quick lunches delivered right to your door.

MoonLizard.com    No bidders.  Fits my rule. If it sounds like a California wine then it’s a good domain.

FindReviews.com  One of the most searched for things in all of the net is other people’s opinions on something you’re thinking about buying

InsideScoop.com  Good news name.  Everything’s a scoop when when you own this domain

MyProtector.com 13 years old.  Huge business in protecting phones and pads.

GoingOnceGoingTwice.com  A little long but for $12 it’s a pretty nice auction name.  GOGT.com would be a nice add on in case.

DVWI.com Not a bad buy under $30 IMO

VMWI.com  If I like the other one I kind have to like this one.  It’s kinda the rules

IVWI.com  Sorry

EatYourSoup.com  Come on Campbells, come on Campbells buy it from me after I buy it

Worthless Random Fact:  The Spanish national anthem has no words

AMFI.com 1996 LLLL.com  I think it’s better than some LLL.coms but the price won’t show it

SkinArt.com   aka Tattoo.  18 years old.

Roofers.net  Every house has one.  A roof not a roofer.

WSIA.com  My favorite LLLL.com of the day

BlueberryFarm.com  I’ve always wanted to own one but between the soil conditions and the rabbits, I can barely grow the damn things

XiangFang.com  I think it’s German

PaidReviews.com  More out there than you know

CreativeProjects.com  I love the word creative, trumps intelligent in my book

  1. Shane, I mentioned this shortage of salt that we were having in Toronto in one of my comments about 4 weeks ago. What happens to the ‘supply vs demand’ equation when there is no supply! We had a massive Ice Storm during the Christmas break, I had 10 nice big bags, that I bought in the summer for $1.99 each, I was getting offers in the $40-50 range. I felt guily selling it for so high, then I thought, thats what we are doing with Domains! Buying for 8 bucks and selling it for 10X more.
