SHANE’S BIG LIST: Saturday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on March 15th, 2014

Escrow.com

If you know me I tend to talk mostly about three things, my daughter,  running and domains.  Not that I don’t love the nursery but I talk about it 10 hours a day so when I get to talk about things other than that those first three occupy my conversation.  Because of that, I get asked all the time about training and domains.  So I find myself helping local businesses secure their name.  Ironically I’ve had to call in some favors from some of you to get the domains.  On more than one occasion I’ve asked and most people have cut me a break.  I’m surprised how often I know the owner of the names people ask me for.  I’d say it’s 50% of the time.  Maybe more. What doesn’t seem to work is when I see a domain up for auction that’s an improvement over a local business’ domain and buy it and try and sell it to them at cost. Most seem to act like I’m trying to scam them or say that the dot net is just fine and they don’t need the dot com.  So I point it towards our business and take the free local traffic.  Their loss.  Here are today’s names

VancouverCanada.com  I’ve heard of this city.  It’s starting to attract attention and draw residents.  I’m guessing it’s the lupines in the spring.  17 years old.  The domain, not the city.

WeddingExpress.com  It’s a PR 3 and 15 years old but the name had some value even without it.  With it and you get the four figure price

WhatsMyName.com  14 years old.  Solid marketing name for people like us

BrownMonster.com  11 years old.  No bidders. Made one of these after burrito night.  Gotta love 12 year old humor.   I still think this would make a good brand for the price

NPIO.com  Great letters.  O for Orange.  Not that the orange domain market is huge.  I just like the color

DailyInterest.com   Decent name for a metric site.  Marketing is all about creating interest and someone has to measure it

Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. $1.99 Dot Com Registration ($2.17) Coder199

PlantZone.com  This has come up for sale a few times and actually done pretty well each time.  18 years old. 92 bidders so it should do well again

Vaca.net   Cow in Spanish.  Or Vacation for those in a hurry

MrCoins.com  I like to make all coin names Bitcoin names

WorkCompAttorneys.com  I pay ridiculous rates for Work Comp.  Mostly because of the attorneys.  Maybe I should try and make my money back

GGGF.com  Collectible more than practical but some time these things fetch great prices because they are so memorable

LasVegasOffers.com   Because we spend money in Vegas like we can go home and print more.

AcademicScholarship.com   You hear everyone shooting for a sports scholarship but I’d be more proud if my daughter got this instead

Have a name at auction and need more exposure.  Send me an email. I may be able to help

And………If you missed The Book of 10 from Yesterday here’s what you missed

MarketingCon.com Excellent name for a conference in one of the biggest industries in the world, marketing. Tons of industries already use this style including our own NamesCon. Price was a great value at press time

HiloHawaii.com, LouisvilleKentucky.com, BeavertonOregon.com And many more all reduced in price to move. You already missed out on the other 6 cities that were sold, check out this list before they’re gone. Make him a bulk offer if you want a good price

LEPS.com Next bid makes reserve. 18 year old LLLL.com Great letters and plenty of things that it can stand for. I won’t burden you with what they could be. Just go take a look at the auction

Amplifiers.net 535,000 searches. A $17,000 valuate price. Look at all the ads for amplifiers in Google and it will tell you that they’re still in big demand. Link takes you to a low opening offer

SubprimeMortgage.com Use the coupon code SHANEISSEXY and take 25K off the listed price of this one. Huge mortgage name with a $10 CPC.  Those in the space already know this, those that have been buying junk domains probably already have this type of loan

MarijuanaOils.com As investors we all want to know how to make money on the newest “IT” thing and no doubt the money being made on marijuana in Colorado has us all wishing we could get in on it without selling pot itself. Here’s one way. Marijuana Oils are becoming more popular each day. Tons of people are trying to learn how to make it (and blowing themselves up doing it wrong) and others are trying to buy it. And it’s only going to increase.

eBlunts.com Speaking of marijuana domains. This one is a ways out until auction but  good name with a low reserve.

3dPrinters.net  One of the best 3D Printer names you can buy.  I see thousands of 3d printer type names being bought to capture the hottest market on the net.  Geos, one offs, but here you can own one of the 3 best 3d printer names in the world IMO

1711.com One of my favorite NNNN.coms to come up for sale in quite a while. Be prepared to pay up but IMO a great investment

BlueVolcano.com $500 Memorable and pretty sure this one is going to explode. Contact me

Lawyers.cc $2500 Sure it’s a dot CC but it’s one of the best dot CC you can own. Contact me

*All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission (click through and purchase a name you like) or paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.
