SHANE’S BIG LIST: Saturday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on March 1st, 2014

You can tell it’s been a good year when you start lining your floors with money.  I think one of the most important thing you can have in a retail business is nice bathrooms.  It says a lot about your business.  I still personally clean the bathrooms myself.  To me it shows that I am willing to do even the dirtiest job and I want to make sure it gets done well.  But our bathrooms were deteriorating and the toilets were too small for today’s obese people.  So we did a complete tear out and redid the bathrooms from scratch.  My brother and our manager are great carpenters so they were able to do everything themselves. But I figured since we were doing it we might as well make it special.  I was trying to think of something that would make our bathrooms memorable.  A picture, an unusual sink.  We didn’t want to put a ton of money into it but then I thought, lets actually put some money in it.  After I calculated it out it would only cost us 150 to line the floor with pennies.  So I went to the bank and purchased $240 in pennies, our manager came up with a system of making tiles in picture frames and then putting contact paper on them to make them stick.  And then my brother laid the tiles and grouted them in with coffee colored grout.  A little epoxy on top and the picture is our new floors.  They are beautiful and memorable.   Here are today’s names.  May or may not be a list tomorrow as we are going to get yet another snowstorm this weekend.

MarijuanaIndex.com  Awesome name.  Find out the price of a quarter bag for any city in the nation

UOTP.com  Worth over $50 in my opinion

Barnala.com  A city in the state of Punjab.  Over 100,000 residents

HTLA.com  17 years old. Ends in A. Better than HT.LA

1Y.net  So far this year, 8F.net sold for $2,223 and 3E.net sold for $2,800. Last year, 9A.net, I9.net, and X7.net all sold for $3,000+

JobSearcher.com  Name describes exactly what it’s going to do.  So does nakednosepickers.com but this one is much easier to monetize and/or resell

Naturally.org  15 years old. Going natural or organic is a huge trend right now.  Would make a great marketing name for a company as well.

TrackCredit.com  11 years old. People pay hundreds of dollars a year to track their credit score from companies with much worse names than this

PokerForever.com 13 years old.  Similar sales recently include GoPoker.com $7800, PokerBuddy.com $2510, ChampionPoker.com $15K.  Poker names will crazy high a few years ago and have settled.  Will surge again when online gambling becomes legal in the near future IMO

Done.us   12 years old  The US extension seems to be picking up a little steam.  Nice short one here
