This is where the world has come to. As I’m writing this list I’m watching two girls try and beat each other up in a UFC MMA fight in Vegas. Winner gets $40K. The first thing I do when I see a girl doing anything is ask myself what I would think if that was my daughter. In this case I hope that she grows up and becomes a beautiful, strong woman. The first place to start is treat all women how you would like your daughter to be treated.
It is only when we, as a culture, step away from all that disrespects people — for example, promotion of porn and antics like Miley Cyrus’ “twerking” — will ensure that women (and men, too) will get the respect that they deserve and need.
The direction of the culture will decide how others see your daughter and my granddaughter, and it doesn’t look too good right now.
(By the way, not too many parents want their children to become porn stars for a career path.)
