SHANE’S BIG LIST: Tuesday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on March 18th, 2014

Escrow.com

I may be doing this domain name investing thing wrong.  So far in 2014 I have been only a  buyer.  Looking for value, not cheap, but value priced one or two word dot coms.  I haven’t sold any big names at all.  It’s not that I’m not getting offers.  I get them every day.  Just not willing to sell cheap at this point in time. I’m going to need to sell one soon though to keep up my buying spree, but there have been some really good deals on names in my industry falling through the cracks and I’m gobbling them up. How do I pass on flowerbeds and freshcutflowers dot com?  Hopefully a big offer will come through soon and let me buying continue.   Here are today’s names. And 5 more slots for THE BOOK OF 10 on Friday ($25)

PelicanSound.com 14 years old.  Upgrade name for a few people.   Pretty sure flip at this price

Rubr.com   14 years old. A lot of jokes to make with this one but I’ll just keep them in my wallet

HireBoard.com  12 years old.  Decent employment name for the price

GuideToHealthyLiving.com  A little long but nice thought. I would pick up GTHL.com to go with it.  Only one bidder

8L8L.com  An odd CCCC.com but I think it’s worth more than $40.  Just my opinion but my opinion has been pretty good on these lately

Smartica.com  9 years old.  Very intelligent name

Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. $.99 Dot Com Registration or Transfer (plus ICANN fees) gofdd007

KCTA.com  K at the front is the best place for it.  End in A which, as we know, I love

Wenergy.com 18 years old.  I’m sure somebody who has an energy company will want a name that plays off of it.

SchoolHouse.com  This one will certainly go higher from here. Great education name

EAOE.com   Pat, I’d like to buy a vowel.

PubicLibrary.com  No value but amazing the difference and L can make.  One has books, one has crabs.

BIM.com  Nice 3 letter dot com on Flippa.  Have no idea of the reserve though

THAT.com   One of the better names so far this year.  Not cheap

Have a name at auction and need more exposure.  Send me an email. I may be able to help.  Already taking names for Book of 10 for This Friday ($25) and the daily list

*All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission (click through and purchase a name you like) or paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.

  1. I have received more lowball offers than ever, but that tells me people are searching, and attempting to register, just do not have the funds for purchase, or are forcing alternative options. Had a sedo sale fall thru for a mediocre domain back in 2010 for $350, it sold yesterday for $2,000, they paid my ask. It is a waiting game, you know how to filter quality, so it is really about finding that sweet spot. It is getting harder to close $5K plus deals in some cases on keyword domains, other than short, and true generic .com’s.

  2. Hi Shane

I am Kwan, a newbie in this industry but have been visiting your posts on a regular basis in the last 3 months. Thought I should finally show my gratitude for all the valuable info you have on here, Much appreciated.

  3. “I make my own Karma. And you don’t get bad Karma for making a spoiled immature brat cry. You get cookies.”………….. Your statement says a lot about you and nothing about me.

  4. Shane – You never become successful by tearing others down as I am not defined by your insecurities…….The only part you got correct was the “spoiled” part. I am spoiled with love from my family/friends and the ability to forgive…. When you are ready I am here. It’s never too late to do the right thing.
