SHANE’S BIG LIST: Tuesday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on the 27th

The Chinese are really boosting the domain market the last few days. Liao.com is over $60,000 with a day left and 25.com is in auction at $1.5 million. Actually I’m not positive either buyer is Chinese but I have my hunches. Today’s list is weak but we’ll try again tomorrow. Here are today’s names

DownTheDrain.com Where many domainer’s money goes but I don’t think it will with this one. 1998 domain

ClothDiapers.net Valuate has it at $12,000 TONS of searches for cloth diapers

5472.com 4 is in a good spot on this one

TFS.net 18 years old and looking good

Langeveld.com VERY popular Dutch last name. I know this because I know Dutch people

Seaside.org I once ran from Mt. Hood to SeaSide Oregon. Didn’t like the town but loved the run

Electromotor.com Electric motors are the future. Electromotor is a cool way of saying electricmotor

Beej.com It’s an LLLL and could be a brand but probably will have to be spelled out

Mooshie.com Yesterday moopie.com dropped but I forgot to see what it went for. Whatever it was I expect this to go for a similar price

SmokePot.org With pot becoming legal I think this one is worth more than $12

5YF.com If it ends like similar names lately we’re looking at $850-900…..or more………..or less

Shane – The bid on liao.com is a false bid. Same is true for Yin.com. If you look at the bidder it is called Namejet Reserve. Based on my research and intuition I believe that Namejet has recently started running more auctions of privately owned domains with a reserve. Instead of stating that X person has the real bid but the reserve has not been met they are essentially making the reserve a bidder and calling it Namejet Reserve. This strikes me as odd. They are doing the same thing on Yin.com. Check it out on Namejet and do some research. I personally do not like the tactic as it seems odd at best and somewhat misleading. Cheers. Craig.
