SHANE’S BIG LIST: Wednesday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on January 22nd, 2014

Escrow.com

Got quite a bit of feedback from me actually writing a few articles.  I had made a promise to be more positive but people seemed to enjoy my articles that proposed changes or improvements to things in our industry.  I look at them as opportunity articles.  I’ve found from my experience that none of my thoughts are unique and that many other people are thinking the same thing.  Take my article on the Godaddy non payers.  I had at least 5 emails this week complaining about the lack of payers and domain owners not coming through at Godaddy auctions.  I figured it was time to do a post on it.  I’d much rather write about this than, make sure to change your date at the bottom of your blog to 2014 🙂 (thank you Tia for having it automatically update)  Here are today’s names.  If interested, I’m now booking names for Friday’s Book of 10.

Sexxy.com  I thought I was going to steal this one.  I thought I could get it for $25 but then saw the traffic and all the bidders and now I just look in from the outside

DeadBall.com  A PR 3. 15 years old.  Short two letter sports name.  Deserves a shot at the title

StrepTest.com  Not sure the online strep test market is a giant market but hell if you can sell dot horse domains you can sell strep tests online. More people have strep throat than need dot horse names.

SmartGain.com Not saying it’s super valuable but for the age and shortness it’s worth a gamble at $12 IMO

BVYC.com   Under $50 (at press time) so it has my attention

BPGO.com  Starting bid is $300 and I may pull the trigger even at that price.  Love the letters

LazyWeekend.com  Great brand for $12.  No bidders.  11 years old

MPOO.com  Yesterday was pee, today it is Poo

GarageDoorSupply.com  If you have a home you probably have a garage door. If you have a garage door at some point it will break. Maybe the motor will go bad, maybe you’ll accidentally back a snow plow through it, but you’ll need a garage door supply guy

Random Fact: The US highway system requires that one of every five miles be straight to be used as airstrips during wartime or in case of emergencies.

LaughingCat.com  19 years old.   Memorable brand and everyone loves cats, especially jolly ones

VintageSports.com  There’s a market for vintage sports equipment and memorabilia.  18 year old domain.  Vintage sports domain

Heisman.org  Probably some trademark on the Heisman trophy but if not this would be a fun domain to own

DomainHawk.com  A nice domain blog or site name. 16 years old

TemplateCity.com   I think this was the name of a Guns and Roses song. But I could be wrong

TingChe.com  Means something.  I have no idea but looks Chinese so I’m all in

  1. I don’t get the non payer issue on the auction sites. Auction sites need to be like a broker dealer. No cash in the account bidding.
Is there no one in the domain industry that wants to be TMobile and stop being friends with everyone??
