Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday, March 15th, 2024

In 1976 my Grandfather used this new computer to print labels for his plants. It was sitting in the back room of the nursery printing tags until the late 80s. Always worked. Never an issue. It was the first model Apple. Just a board and he built a box for it to hold the board. He was so impressed with the “personal computer” that he bought an Apple II which was a lot nicer and made an office for it.

I looked forward to going over to his house to play games. It was like Atari but on cassettes and floppies. He had the first Star Wars game, breakout, Lemonade Stand, and Adventure. I played for hours and hours and begged my parents for a computer. Eventually we got a Vic Commodore. 64 Bits Free would bounce around the opening screen and I was hooked. The Vic was the last non Apple I ever owned. We got an Apple IIc and from that point on I have never owned another computer besides an Apple. I’ve been told that PCs are exactly the same but I wouldn’t know.

I brought an Apple to college and they had exactly zero Apples at school. Everything was windows. I had to go to the lab to write and compile my programs. Scheduling time to get a machine. It was like stepping back every time I had to get on one. Then came the 90s and I was even more in no mans land. Steve Jobs was forced out of Apple and he fought to get Apple clones. The software sucked, the computers were Meh and I seriously thought I may finally have to switch. I held on long enough to get Steve back and the rest is history. Now pretty much every single laptop I see in the coffee shop and in public is an Apple.

I am an Apple maxi but have been my whole life. The stock purchases back then have let me retire early and will let my daughter put her downpayment on a house and maybe pay for it. I’m sure I’ll get the vision pro but I didn’t stand in line like I did the iPhone. It’s not something I’ll use every day …..yet. But I do think its the future. A tool to help you be more productive. Just waiting for it to get a little smaller.

Anyone else grown up on Apple? Also love to hear if anyone has the Vision Pro and what they think of it

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. All names were chosen by us, Shane, Travis, and/or Josh . Everything we say is based on our research or is opinion. Do your due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, registrars, and individuals that are auctioning names. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
