Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday, June 10th, 2024

My friend Mike asked me why I didn’t mention that Godaddy stopped allowing people to put domains up for auction. Honestly, I forgot. I know why they did it. It’s not worth the hassle. The money generated from it is so small in comparison to expired domains that it’s not even worth checking to see if the people putting up the names are the real owners. Then they have to collect the money. That being said, it opens the door for companies that want to focus on this. Getting inventory through private auctions.

It’s an opportunity for Namejet to improve their listing process and make it even easier. Sedo has done a good job having monthly auctions with themes. This works well because it generates excitement due to them not being very often. Everyone divides private domain offerings from expiring which kills the private sales. Putting them into a special event puts the focus back on the domain quality, not the expiry vs private. As always, it’s not a loss but now an opportunity.

Quote of the Day: “Beware the investment activity that produces applause; the great moves are usually greeted by yawns”

Dynadot Aftermarket Domains I love 3L and 4L that end in IQ. Closes today “Voice” in Spanish $42 in monthly parking People vape more than smoke now and cig is being used less and less BUT still a solid name you know someone in our industry will buy it Game apps have crushed it for a decade Can’t go wrong with a for a store of value Sounds smart Great brand for a next to nothing price

Catched. com Play poker with crypto Even BTC The get names are all getting bids Capital from all over the world Dot fi is finding a lot of traction in Defi Taken in 65 extensions

Godaddy Names with Bids Going to be a product not a brand. But it could be a heck of a sun or beach product I see a nice newsletter here I was hoping this one slid through but it looks like it’s caught everyone’s eye unfortunately An open vessel. Anything can be POPular Good name but the 10K price is coming for the backlinks Elliot Silver….here you go Pretty generic but millions of visitors Big fan and fun brand Plenty of alternatives but might be worth adding to the portfolio if the price is right Anything health is worth adding IMO There is no bigger business than Data analysis right now Terrible acronym, cool looking name The Z makes it cool Cheap shipping name Taken in 8 extensions The s saves you tens of thousands. Still taken in 50 plus extensions Monad is the hottest new chain Taken in 255 extensions 👀 Great letters. L for League is top of mind

  1. Thanks, Shane
I clicked on link and it took me to NameJet rather than Sedo
I spoke with my domain broker and he wasn’t even aware there was an.IO auction at SEDO
And there hasn’t been any mention in the domain blogs
.IO is not .Com or .AI but it’s still a great extension if the .com or .ai are out of the price range for buyers
surprised hasn’t met its small reserve
ArGlasses .com is for sale at 3.5 million usd — and if Ar eventually takes off, this is a good buy, but is a good alternative
I plan to bid on a few, but will prob wait until last day to gauge demand
