Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday, March 4th, 2021

Escrow.com

If you’re getting into the domain industry right now its pretty tough. Yes there is money to be made but you have to have 5 figures to get into the expiry game if you want more than 20 names. Sure there are hand regs and some deals to be had, but wholesale prices have essentially doubled in the last few years. Maybe more. $1000 flyers get tough. 10X your money is barely covering it when the prices get this high. Fortunately my names have were purchased when prices weren’t that high. To the point where I am flat out just living off my old names and buying 50 or so new names and that’s it. I know there are others that are doing realy well right now but only a handful that started in the last few years and even fewer that put less than 10K in it to start.

But if I were starting I would be buying two common word dot coms and one word dot ios. Come to think of it that’s pretty much what I’m doing with a few flyers in the other tlds.

On another note Illinois is getting great weather and we’re at 60 degrees. About 12 degrees above normal. And the nursery is already slammed. Plants look like they are going to be even more popular than last year and I should have an amazing year. I added 4 more people yesterday because I can already see that I am going to need a lot more people to handle everything. I’m getting close to the 50 employee thing which changes the rules a bit so I am doing some part time to keep it under. It looks like a sea of ants around the place. We have been building a lot of new greenhouses and holding areas for dirt, mulch, compost and other materials to sell. We sell about $50 to 100K in dirt but it gets wet and leaves us weeks where we can’t sell it. This new building will hold 400 yards and keep it dry. And we have a container office on one side and storage on the other. With storage above as well. While we were at it we’re retiling the whole area. People, projects, plants

Quote of the Day: If you are persistent you will get it, If you are consistent you will keep it”

Domain of the Day: CaringCompany.com Great name for elder care or pretty much anything involved in health care

Remember to click the links to see the current prices and if you are going to pay for a name do it while visiting DSAD.com. It pays for the gas to run the ship.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
