There is about to be an incredible amount of liquidity added to the market with the IPOs of SpaceX and OpenAI. While we often hear about the major institutional investors, there are also hundreds of smaller investors who stand to make millions. That capital will undoubtedly be funneled into asset purchases, and I believe domain names will be among them.
The ripples will extend far across the pond. For instance, a recent report noted that the University of Michigan is set to net $2 billion from its investment in OpenAI. While that specific windfall may not directly affect the domain market, it illustrates how investing companies will soon have fresh liquidity to deploy. SpaceX, with an expected valuation of $1.7 trillion, represents an even more massive reach.
Just as the crypto surge boosted domain sales over the last few years, and AI has driven the boom in .ai extensions, these IPOs will add another layer of capital to the market. It should be a great year.

Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links.
