As I come home from another conference with a bag full of shirts and sweatshirts, I realize that my wife and I haven’t bought a printed T-shirt in nearly a decade. Every T-shirt we own is from a conference—some domain, plant, or crypto-related shirt. Over the last ten years, I’ve attended 30 conferences, and there’s always someone handing out a good-quality shirt. Most of the time, I couldn’t care less what it says on it, just needs to fit well.
Yesterday, I noticed my wife wearing a shirt that said “Brands not Names” and asked her what company it was from. Turns out, it was BrandBucket—one of her favorites. Another one I often see her wearing says “Domain Heir.” I can’t remember which company that came from, but they were involved in domain estate planning, and I think Adam Strong had something to do with it.
My go-to shirts are from Domain Capital and NameJet, along with Morgan Linton’s “Never Fade Yuga.” All of them are made with great material and fit well, so they get a lot of gym time.
My wife has a one-in, one-out policy, and after returning from the last three conferences with a bag full of shirts and sweatshirts, I realized none were good enough to replace what I already had. So, I ended up taking them to the nursery for others to enjoy. I have 20 hoodies and don’t need any more pullovers—I’m strictly taking zippers at this point. I’ve become a free-swag snob thanks to the closet in-out rule. Only the best make it through the doors, and they have to knock off my current favorites to stay.
This week’s winner? The long-sleeve D3 shirt—a big hit at home. Look for it at our local gym.
