Today is a great day. The first day off since the beginning of April. I’m taking the day off to go see my daughter run the mile at the State Championships. This is my busiest time of year but there is no amount of money that you can pay me to miss my daughters big events. I have to admit I had gotten to the point of exhaustion. Most people have no idea what that feels like. It’s a point where you start losing your ability to stay fresh. It doesn’t matter how much sleep you get you always feel tired. To the point where you start forgetting things and slipping into stares and thoughts. I was getting there and got to the point I had to stop running. I got better this week but it’s a crazy thing. It’s harder on your body than Ironman training. Ironman training makes you stronger. Working 100 hour weeks breaks you down. My daughter and her race is good for my heart in more than one way. It forces me to take a break. Here are today’s names.
