Yesterday Domain Holdings released their quarterly results. It’s always nice to see data and DnJournal shared some good stuff with general information on who was buying, average prices, how many phone calls and emails they sent, etc. But as a domain investor it really doesn’t mean much to me other than I’m glad to see any business in our industry succeed. In reality, the only info that really helps me is what names sold and for how much. To do well I need to understand my inventory. The value and the potential prices I can sell it for. Especially the prices that can be achieved by giving it to the best. But we really didn’t get that information. Total sales and average prices don’t help me much since I don’t know what names were sold. I assume their were a good amount of numerics since there was a high percentage of Chinese sales. But other than that I simply will give a congrats and get back to watching for sales and purchases with names behind them. That’s the only way I get comps and info that I can build on. Here are today’s names.
VPCC.com 17 years old and C for corporation
PaidJobs.com Because getting a job that pays is so much better than those that don’t. 13 years old and memorable
IOIG.com A lot of vowels, easy to type. That’s all I got
AnimalModeling.com Don’t laugh, it’s a business. You can find the Kate Upton of cats. No bidders
PetModeling.com If you’re going to get the above you might as well throw $12 at this one
UT4.com Liquid gold. Actually not really gold but definitely at least silver and very liquid
7742.net These are the new 4n.coms. As in they are the price that the 4ns were a few years ago
8933.cc I don’t know if you’re ready to start tradin’ nnnn.cc domains but I’d thought I’d point out that they’re selling for some pretty good prices now
NEW!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. Domain Discount Club, use promo code for $59 membership and $8.29 renewals CJC35NEWC
Precisio.com Doesn’t mean anything to me other than it’s 18 years old and I think it would make a nice brand
Lurky.com Sounds creepy but would make a good app name. Memorable and short
MellowGold.com I know it’s a Beck album but would also make a good Pot Shop name
PrinterCables.com You might as well start by concentrating on one thing. This is as good as any. Although this wifi thing may take you out
Soybean.net The second biggest business here in Illinois after corn. In Brasil it’s first
BridalPlus.com Bridal business is HUGE and the plus is you also get to be a DJ
VegasBride.com Already a LasVegas Bride and 58 million results so could be worth a bid
RDLA.com I think the LA and the short will keep this name closer to four digits
CakeMaker.com They’ll know what you do if you own this one. That or you’re a domain investor
83363.com This is a 5n I would actually buy
And in Case You Missed Yesterday’s Book of 10
Sequencing.net (auction) DNA sequencing has become part of every day life as we figure out how to best take care of our bodies and predict our future. Value grows from here IMO
Suhanchen.com (auction) Su Hanchen was a famous Chinese painter. Chinese names have really risen in price of the last two years. Low reserve.
GeneticLab.com (auction) And that sequencing will be here. People are already paying hundreds to find out their genetic dispositions. This is a perfect name for someone selling those kits
HealthExchanges.com (auction) There is no bigger market right now that Health Care. And one millions of Americans have been forced to buy from the exchanges. Big lead gen money in this market.
ElectronicsEngineering.com (auction) In a world of gadgets electonic engineers are one of the most sought after trades in the world. Again, good lead gen money here for companies seeking these recruits and Universities trying to entice students.
Removable.com (auction) Great name for anything someone needs removed. Tattoo, bad articles on the net, even credit problems. Auction price is cheap IMO at this point
Remortgage.net (auction) The dot org sold for $10,600. Americans need to remember that remortgage is the term used in other countries for ReFinance. And you know Refinance.net would sell for six figures.
433.net (auction) NNN.nets have increased in value over the last year. I’ve heard the bubble talk for the last two years. They are the same people that missed the last 100% gain. Don’t be the bubblers
Combineme.com $2400 Combine.me sold recently for $1500. Lots of uses but the NFL combine comes to mind first and a Farm Combine next.
HDDH.com (auction) Great looking name and very memorable. Looks the same forward and backward.
ZSG.com The Z is good in Europe. The price shows that already
PrivateAirplanes.com Private jets are big business. Selling them or booking them is good lead gen
