Friday’s Daily Domain Drop and Auction Picks

I absolutely loved the purchase by Justin Timberlake and investors of MySpace.com  There isn’t any hotter celebrity in the world than Timberlake.  Girls love him and me want to be him. Timberlake can make Myspace cool all by himself.   I think this turns out to be one of the better purchases of 2011.  Now that I’ve revealed my crush for n’Sync we can take a look at the names I’ve found using dropday and perusing the internets.

4848.com Already at $5K.  I love the name but so do the Chinese and you probably aren’t going to outbid them.

UserTrends.com 1999 Birthday.  Everyone wants users and everybody wants to keep up on the trends.  Give them both

TheTripod.com Could be a good camera site but I only listed it because that was my nickname in High School. That and liar.

LastSeat.com Great ticket name

VideoSecret.com Like PostSecret but with visuals.  Not quite as private when you can see the face.

BareChat.com It’s what ChatRoulette should be called.   Might as well call it what it is. “All nude, all the time”  or “Every click a new di#@”

Crammer.com Nice startup name.  Sounds like a company that can get a lot of things into a small area.  No bidders

Barge.net I realize it’s not a million dollar name but certainly worth $69

Swizzler.com Sounds delicious whatever it is.

ButterscotchPudding.com and 19 other pudding and icecream flavors.     They’re for sale over at DnForum.com  I don’t know this guy (no I’m not being paid but won’t turn down money) but the price doesn’t seem that bad for all the names.

Talked.com Another forum name that seems like it could be had at a fair price

I’d also like to ask you to take a look at my new sponsor Protrada.  It’s a very interesting concept and certainly something nobody has done yet.  Let me know what you think

  1. I got into a bit of heated dialogue earlier today regarding the purchase and my opinion with a friend.

I DO think the MySpace purchase was pretty cheap. Hell, if Sex.com sold for 14million… MySpace with its enormous traffic, development, user base, etc. is a steal at $35million.

Just my opinion :-). Alright, 4AM… Must sleep!

    1. You’ve got this post titled Thursday’s Daily Domain Drops… and I think it should be Friday’s Daily Domain Drops…

    2. I think it’s a little ironic that Justin Timberlake was in the Facebook movie playing an owner of Facebook, and now owns MySpace.

  3. Why so high with 4848.com Shane, isn’t the 4 a negative, why are they bidding it up so high ? Because of the repeating and the 8 ? Thank you

  4. Reserve range for 4848.com shows up to 49,999rmb. The final bid was 41,388 RMB and still reserve wasn’t met. $6,400 was a good amount to sell that domain.
