Travs List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday, June 26, 2019

A reader asked me the other day to write about the tools that I use to search for names so I will.  To be honest, it’s not a very exciting list of secret tools.  I probably use less than most people so maybe Shane and Josh can write about the tools that they use as well.  Shane has full access to most of them so he uses more than I do. is by far the most useful tool you can find if you want to search for various GoDaddy marketplace names, pending delete names, Sedo auction names, Namejet and Snapnames lists and all of the other various marketplace lists.  I consider it to be more of a toolbox than a tool, because you can do so much with it.  I spend more time using than any other tool, and frankly, I could use only it and find plenty of names to buy.  The site is free so sign up if you haven’t and start playing with the various filters you can use to narrow the lists into something manageable.

I use on a regular basis to search for existing trademarks on names I might want to purchase.  I use and every day to look at previous sales info for comparables to names I am interested in.  To list for sale, I use Uniregistry market, Efty, Afternic, Sedo, BrandBucket, Brandpa, SquadHelp and have in the past used Flippa.  For keeping track of everything I have, I wrote my own software that makes managing it all much easier.

Beyond all of this, it helps to have people in the industry that you know and trust and can bounce ideas off of and ask for opinions.

Other Names at Auction  10 days left and a $27 reserve  big business here with selling for $360K in 2010  international sports betting  non-profit haunted house – 16 bidders in play for this one  builders, remodelers, hazmat cleaning  met reserve so it is going to sell  also met reserve at a much lower price

Godaddy Domains With One Or No Bids  investing in gold or something – gold names do well  a decent 5 word name – you don’t see that often  my dog likes almonds and cashews  browsers detect security threats on  they could make a comeback  decent political name  domain battle!  hard to do, but some people have it as one of their goals  nice travel name  I think this might be something in the UK / Australi  a gym tied to your smart home system  beach / scuba travel  stock options platform  nice cannabis name  compete with checkmyprivilege  a collection of geo names
