I got to talking to a guy at the nursery yesterday and the world got a whole lot smaller. Turns out, one of the original cybersquatters in the domain world is from Champaign. A man that literally set the precedent of what is squatting and what isn’t. I’ve written a little article about the guy going up later and although I haven’t met him personally, it’s a great story and just another reason why Champaign is the technological center of the world. OK not really but for a small Midwest town it never surprises me how many ways we influence the net. This one local guy Marc Andreessen and his little thing called Mosaic really started something. Now onto the names
FunBag.com A lot of bidders and it’s not because it’s a 1997 domain. I guess they see the brandability (not really a word but sounds great) in the domain. I like it as well but already to rich for my blood
BirdGirl.com A famous statue from the Garden of Good and Evil or just a great birding name.
BadLoans.net Not that many people are looking for bad loans but they may be looking to get out of one
umDN.com 4L and a Dn. Domainers love the dn
School2.com The only thing better than school is school2 (as long as it sells for under $50)
GoodTrades.com Stock trading WILL come back. Buy names like this while they’re cheap
NHBO.com Another nice 4L
