Listed below are updates on the top 10 domain sales from a year ago, as reported by DN Journal.
1. 399.com sold for $821,819
A simple ‘coming soon’ lander is live. Rick Schwartz sold this domain last year, and this post from TheDomains is a fun recap for quite a year Mr. Schwartz had in 2015.
2. LTD.com sold for $184,000
There is an error page for this domain, and ownership is under privacy protection.
3. USA.TV sold for $125,000
A Uniregistry for-sale lander is live, and the domain is under privacy protection.
4. Rochester.com sold for $91,111
This geo in New York state is lightly developed, as the last entry I see is from July 2016, and the site has an Alexa rank near 22 million. The owner is under privacy protection.
5. NYS.com sold for $80,500
This domain doesn’t resolve, and it’s owned by a Chinese individual.
6. Macy.com sold for $75,000
A simple lander with a Google search box is live, yet it’s the traffic leader for the week, with its Alexa rank near 250,000. I assume most of those are typos from the department store at Macys.com.
6. Pindrop.com sold for $75,000
This domain was an upgrade from PindropSecurity.com, and they describe themselves as, “Pindrop protects enterprise call centers against phone-based fraud and social engineering attacks.” We discussed this is a massively profitable domain flip for the seller. The site has an Alexa rank near 650,000.
8. KFZ.com sold for $72,950
A Chinese and English language lander is live, with a 4.cn link for offers.
9. JNB.com sold for $67,111
10. CML.com sold for $62,501
Both LLL.com domains above appear to be owned by the same Chinese investor. Nothing resolves on one domain, while a Chinese language lander is live on the other.
