Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday, July 22nd, 2021

We’ve had a terrible time with bots and things pinging our website. Literally 10s of thousands of hits a day trying to log in or hitting the back end of the site. To the point where the back end was running so slow. The front never is bad because of Cloudflare. Cloudflare is nothing short of amazing. Mirroring sites so you don’t have to go to the main server. Always there and fast. Cloudflare changed the Internet. There’s no reason for a site not to fly because of them. But the back end is different. Travis has built all the tools that we use daily and has them reside back there. But the last week is was dragging. The tools he built cuts the time it takes to make my list and manage our domains in half. So when it drags it costs a lot of time. So he put in an IP screen in front but we soon realized we all work from so many different locations and often the IPs change. In the first few days we had 10 different IPs from the 3 of us. So that didn’t work well. But cutting off all the people made a HUGE difference. It didn’t let them try and log in or hit the back of the site. So it flies now.

It shows the importance of a team. If you run a site you have to have a tech person. Even if they can’t manage everything you have to have someone that does basic maintenance and management. You can hire someone to do it but you get charged every single time and you have to live to their timeframe. Having a site down cost money. I had 5 WordPress sites that ran just fine but had been hacked behind the scenes. They were use the server to host pages for their own sites. Nothing I would ever see, only an expert would even know to look. Travis found it pretty quick. But by the time we found it they were rooted in too deep and I had to scrub them all and start over. Even the backups had their code in it. It immediately makes you want to use WIX or Shopify and let them worry about it. If I’m doing online commerce under a million dollars a year in sales I 100% am using Shopify. It literally takes the tech person out of the equation. The entire site is built using the question “what is the hardest part of setting up your online store” and they solved it.

I think I say this every month. Thank God for Travis. He keeps DSAD rolling. He goes, we go. I’m just the talent. He’s the backbone

PS: I was dissing Chipotle for not cleaning up anymore. Evidently it doesn’t matter. They crushed earnings and the stock was up 11%. Now I’m conflicted. I made big money but I still want a cleaner eating environment

Domain of the DayCannabisRealEstate.com Over $5K already. No backlinks or history. Just the name. Which is great for warehouses and land that would be ideal for growing cannabis

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
