Domain Spotlight:

Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday, August 23rd, 2021

I’ve been reading about how some of the top domain investors in the industry are “distracted”. The industry blog comments are the same poor souls and anonymous words of the lonely as they’ve always been. The summer has been so slow that even the blogs have skipped a lot of days because there just isn’t anything to talk about. Articles that just as easily could have been a tweet. Absolutely nothing against any of the blog writers. It’s a hard job. Andrew Alleman probably makes 10X on his podcasting site as he does on his domain blog. It’s been a tough year to keep rolling. And yes, NFTs are crushing it but how hard is it to respond to offers and scan drops? It takes a couple of hours a day. What are you doing the rest of the day?

Why a domain investor would be upset with what another investor is doing outside of domains makes no sense to me. If anyone should be upset it’s our spouses. Having to listen to us talk about apes and punks and beanie babies. That’s where the time is being wasted. Time with our families. Looking at our phones all day and night. We literally get 100X more offers for our NFTs than our domains. My wife said it’s no worse than me asking every night “do you think kangaroo.io is worth $15K? and other random domain questions she doesn’t care about. She does love the money from both domains and NFTs. And there is a pile of it in NFTs just sitting there waiting. JT from Sherpa literally got two NFTs, one on a free drop, one he minted for .07 eth and will end up with over $200K. $200K can be a little distracting so I feel bad for him. We both need to quit making money I put our heads back deep into domains.

Domain of the Day: RD.org The top number of bids on the board today. Deservedly.

OTHER Domain of the Day: GlobalProject.co It’s a global economy

Quote of the Day:A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on Paul for support.” …..George Bernard Shaw 1944

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
